If you travel by car, however, you should know that the town of Manarola is a limited traffic area, therefore there are 3 possibilities for parking: 1. Arrive in Manarola by car and look for free parking along the coastal provincial road, just outside the residents' parking area that you can see delimited by an access gate with bars and cameras. Parking along the road is free, however, pay attention to vertical parking signs as the horizontal signs are missing. 2. Arrive in Manarola and look for a parking spot at the paid parking lot which is adjacent to the aforementioned gate that separates the provincial road from the residents' area. It costs around € 20.00 / day and cannot be booked. Once you arrive you will have to take the ticket, which at the time of entry is valid as an hourly rate, wait 15 minutes and insert it into the machine to convert it into a day ticket. However the procedure is clearly explained at the machine. 3. Arrive in La Spezia by car and look for parking at the La Spezia Centrale railway station, then reach Manarola by train. It is a convenient solution because the train arrives in Manarola right in the town center. From the parking area of Manarola to the town center it takes 10 minutes to get off. Convenient if with trolley, a little less if with shoulder suitcase.
