SunRise Pines The space This rustic lakefront cabin with a private frontage of Androscoggin Lake is the perfect choice if you are looking for a private and secluded home away from home. Outdoor activities are the highlight of this cabin. Swim, sail, kayak, and explore the island to your heart's content. Some outdoor amenities include two kayaks, a canoe, a firepit, and a gas grill. Guests will have access to a 20' dock on the lake, which is the perfect spot to launch the kayaks and canoe. It's also equipped with life jackets and paddles. This dog-friendly cabin has a small bedroom, twin beds in a large loft, a futon in the living room, and a full bathroom with a standalone shower. The living area also features a TV with a DVD player and local channels. The dining table can seat up to four people and it overlooks the lake, offering the perfect backdrop during family meals. The fully-equipped kitchen is appointed with all major appliances that will make cooking a breeze. This is a lakefront camp located in the Maine woods. Please be sure to bring sunscreen, beach towels, and bug spray. Depending on the year, mosquitos can be dense in June. Things to know Full kitchen without a dishwasher There are two kayaks and one canoe available. Water shoes are highly recommended in the lake. Dock is installed when the lake has reached a stable level. This is generally after Memorial Day. Personal watercraft and jet skis are not allowed on Androscoggin Lake. Regular boats are allowed. There is a public boat launch in Wayne. This is a rustic/rural area with a few nearby neighboring cabins. Wildlife and vast areas of forest and swampy wilderness are nearby, so a loose dog can easily become lost. Guest access Enter your access code into the keypad by the door - a green light means the code was accepted. Next, rotate the deadbolt located beneath the keypad away from the door opening to unlock it. If the light flashes red, wait 5 seconds for the lock to reset and try again. When locking up, press the Schlage button and rotate the deadbolt latch toward the door opening to engage it. Other things to note You have access to a shared canoe and kayaks (shared with a neighboring property) - paddles are in the shed. Coast Guard-approved life jackets are required and are available in the shed and by the picnic table. Game wardens patrol the lake and enforce life jacket use. The dock is available seasonally (typically by Memorial Day once the lake reaches a stable level). The water is shallow - do not jump or dive from the dock. Water shoes are recommended when swimming in the lake, as the bottom can be leafy with rocks and mussel shells. Leeds Town Beach, a sandy beach great for families, is an easy walk away at the end of Stinchfield Beach Road - a beach pass is provided for your use. A firepit is available seasonally (late spring through early fall); firewood is not supplied but can be found at roadside stands nearby. A window AC unit is available for warm months. Extra blankets and pillows are stored in the cedar chest by the windows in the loft. Screen inserts for the windows are located at the bottom of the loft stairs.
