Sunrise Old Farmhouse Cabot Trail

Hi friends, I am Roland. A warm welcome! The house sits on a hill in the heart of the Cape Breton Highlands right on the Cabot Trail, only minutes to drive to the Cape Breton National Park and the harbours with shops, restaurants and more. The house is all yours when you come and a perfect base for your trips on the northern Cape Breton Island or just to enjoy the place. The space You have to know: this house is a hundred years old. A lot of renovations have been done - both indoor and outdoor - and it is coming along nicely. You can see me working on my blog - search for rolandmaeder on blogspot. However, some tasks still need to be done. That's why I still set the price low. Despite this, there is still plenty to enjoy! And a rustic place is what I personally like to have. You have the house for yourself. I might be arround, living in a cabin up the hill. You will like it here close to the harbours where all my dear friends live. You will love its rough beauty and the excitements of northern Cabot Trail which is very close up and down the road. Great hiking, fishing, hunting, biking, canoeing, golf, restaurants, you'll soon experience it all. Come and enjoy! Guest access Children under 10 years are not completely save on the second-storey, on the deck, and in some places around the house. Check pictures to see situation. The Cabot Trail lays just in front of the property (90 ft. down the driveway) and children have to be observed outdoor. Other things to note There are two beds that can accommodate 4 guests. There is space for another bed if you bring it yourself, you are allowed to do so. The bath tub fills just once before the hotwater runs out and need to be reheated again. If you use the handheld showerhead, a couple or more people can take a warm shower before it gets cold. A shower seat is installed - the ceiling is not high enough for a stand up session. Feel free to use everything you find in the house, the barn, and the woodshed. Use the garden hose for a outside shower session if its very hot. Use the fireplace if its cold and rainy. Do shot the claydoor of the fireplace, if it's get to hot. Feel like home! There is a large smart-TV screen with good sound system and internet connection (netflix, utube and so on, no normal tv).
