Au Sable River Getaway

One mile from the Mason Wilderness Tract, view eagles, deer and other wildlife out the front door, relax beside the peaceful South Branch of the Au Sable, a trout stream (catch and release, please), hunt in fall, enjoy cross-country skiing at several nearby trails including the 12-mile-long Mason Tract Trail, ski rentals, lessons and trails nearby. The space 175 feet on the South Branch, Au Sable River with fire ring for summer campfires out the front door. Deer, bald eagles, birds such as hummingbirds, three species of woodpecker including pileated. Golf courses are nearby. Roscommon includes a market, a small farmer's market on weekends in summer, a well-stocked wine and beer store, a fantastic and soon-to-be discovered breakfast/lunch cafe run by husband-wife chefs, canoe/kayak liveries to access the 12-mile Mason Wilderness Tract one mile downstream. Beds are queen-size on cedar log frames. 100 percent smoke-free house and grounds. If you plan to bring pets: please ask. You must be courteous with your pet. You must thoroughly vacuum the house if you bring a pet out of respect for other future guests. Thanks! Firepit with included firewood. The home has a Nest smart thermostat which senses when someone is inside. The hot tub is on year-round and water is changed regularly. The road is plowed regularly in winter by the county, and I hire someone to plow out my garage apron/parking area. Other things to note I always speak to my guests before they arrive.
