Experience living aboard a classic yacht in the heart of Silver Lake! Front row seat to unforgettable sunsets & all the amenities of a high end hotel, this private 38' trawler yacht has 2 spacious rooms, plus kitchen and bath. The original teak détail, classic décor will have you wanting to stay again and again. Meant to stay at the dock, plugged in to city water, electricity, you'll feel like you've embarked on a adventure of a lifetime yet able to enjoy all Ocracoke as to offer. The space Our 38' Marine Trader is a classic trawler yacht, designed for long-distance cruising and living aboard for significant stretches of time. She comes equipped with two private staterooms, one with a Queen bed or "berth", which is just like a regular queen bed other than it has rounded corner at the top. The other stateroom has a side "berth" which is somewhere between a small full and a wide twin (42" wide), which would sleep comfortably one adult, two children or a younger couple. There is also a Settee berth, revealing a surprisingly wide bunk in the living rooms or “salon”. The boat is also equipped with a full bathroom or "head" with two doors for privacy, one to the main stateroom, making it a master bedroom, and a door to the hallway. The bathroom offers a small bath, with a shower, a sink, and a regular toilet with a traditional flushing system (approved by the US coast guard), making sure no odors build up. The boat is also equipped with a full kitchen or “galley" with everything you may need to prepare your meals, including a full size fridge, gas stove, oven, freezer chest, air fry microwave and more. The best part is all the outdoor space available on the fly bridge, with a Bimini top to provide some sun protection. It comes set up with the original captain chair and boat benches as well as a separate seating area. Overall the boat is extremely spacious. Her name 'Tranquila', Spanish for calm or serenity, inspires a Modus Vivendi of tranquility. She is set up to host up to 5 people comfortably. Guest access The boat is docked at the Down Creek Condos right on Silver Lake. It is prime location for sunsets on the sound and right in the heart of town. You are literally a step away from all the action. Other things to note Please note, the Down Creek Condos offer a load in load out spot for all boat slip owners to share, but, there is no parking available in that parking lot. The parking spaces are reserved for the condo owners. The best and easiest way to handle parking for your vehicle is to use the Boat Ramp Parking Lot near the south ferry terminal and the NPS Visitor Center, which is a short walk (2-3 minutes) from the Down Creek Condo. The NPS office is open daily from 1:30 to 3:30pm mid-April through September, and 10am to 12pm Wed, Th, Fr, Sat October through December. The no parking sign is for boat trailers without permits. You can request a free permit for your vehicle at the office. We highly recommend exploring the island by Golf cart which are available right next door to us at the Ocracoke Island Golf Carts. If you decide to keep your Golf cart overnight, you can discuss parking options with the rental company.
