On the island of Euboea is the picturesque village of Styra. At the upper edge of the village is our vacation home from where you have a wonderful view of the sea. The house with its 100 m² and approx. 130-year-old walls, we renovated from scratch in 2021. On the small, shady terrace, you can start the day with a nice breakfast. From the roof terrace you then have the view of the village, sea and the mountain in the background – ideal for the sundowner. The space The entrance area in the house is decorated with the original oven, in which the central heating is now installed. On the left hand side, you enter the kitchen with storage room, as well as the living room or fireplace room. The fireplace with a safe glass door is also new and creates a romantic warm atmosphere in winter. On the right hand side, you get to two very spacious bedrooms. The bathroom is accessed via 3 steps up. The charm of the house is the stone floor with the slabs of the typical “Styra marble.” Two of the rooms and the bathroom, on the other hand, are newly tiled. Guest access Check-in is possible at any time using the key in the key safe. Other things to note Directions (car): From the airport or from Athens, it goes to the port of Agia Marina (about 45 minutes), from where the ferry crosses to Neu Styra. Cost for the car about €16. Current ferry plan on the internet at neastyraferries. No reservation required. The ferries run approximately every 1 – 2 hours, the tickets (about €5 per person, children up to and including 4 years free of charge) are sold directly at the harbor. If the ferry is delayed, you can enjoy a holiday beer, a holiday coffee or a holiday ouzo in the harbor tavern and enjoy the sea air with a view of Evia. After 45 minutes of joyful travel, the ferry docks in Nea Styra. From there it takes another 10 minutes to the house. Detailed directions to the house will be provided after booking. Directions (taxi): If requested, we can arrange friendly taxi drivers. Travel from the airport to the port about €50. Journey from Nea Styra to the house about € 7. ID and Tax ID: The Greek tax authority requires the following: We ask Greek guests to provide their tax number (AFM). We ask non-Greek guests for a copy of their ID. Climate tax: Due to legal requirements, a so-called climate resilience fee (CCF, Climate Crises fee, Κλιματική Ανθεκτικότητα) is payable in Greece. This is to be paid by the guest and is €8 per night during the winter months and €15 per night during the summer months. The fee is automatically included in the final price of the booking.
