Built in 1864 as a Coaching Inn now self catering accommodation retaining lots of quirky features including the bar. It is located right in the heart of the village of Longnor so you can enjoy village life & super views of the western edge of the Peak District National Park Sleeps up to 34 in 17 bedrooms with 14 en suites or bathrooms Dog friendly, we charge an additional £30 PER DOG for the duration of your stay & can accept 4 dogs Fabulous family holiday home, not a party venue The space An unique property with the striking looking property being the old pub, complete with the bar still in place as the main feature of this beautiful building, the accommodation is set out over 3 floors, a cobbled courtyard then leads you to 3 additional cottages providing further accommodation for you to book out as exclusive use to sleep up to 34 guests. Entering into the main building you are instantly reminded that the property used to be an old pub, the stone paved flooring leads you into the main hub of the property and the bar area. Dominating the room is a stylish wooden bar, creating a great traditional pub vibe, complete with pumps on the bar, bar stools dotted around, plenty of glassware, dart board, wine fridge and ice machine creating an unique feature to enhance your stay in the Peaks. The room opens to a dining area, with a collection of solid wooden tables to arrange how you like to maximise the space. The hallway takes you to a large lounge, a bright and airy room with a mixture of sofas and chairs, a great space to come together in the evening to unwind, with red brick feature fireplace adding to the original charm of the room. The kitchen is well equipped with all the modern appliances including 2 double range cookers, dishwashers and ample storage a handy utility room leads off the kitchen with further storage, work surfaces and washing machine. To the rear of the property is a games room perfect for everyone - there is a junior table tennis table and table football. On the first floor you will find 5 of the 8 bedrooms this property has. All are en suites which are finished in a cool and stylish marble design. The beds can be made up as twin or doubles and all have a space for a travel cot. On the second floor are 3 further bedrooms, 2 can be twin or doubles and one room is a fixed double, all having their own en suite. Leaving this building you walk to the courtyard to then access the 3 additional cottages you also get to hire when you take this property. Etwell cottage is bedrooms only and can sleep 8 guests in 4 bedrooms, there are tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. Each room can be made as a twin or double and do have either an en suite or use of a private bathroom. Abbey Cottage is the smallest of the 3 and can sleep 4, you have a handy kitchen and separate lounge come dining area on the ground floor with a downstairs bathroom too. Both bedrooms are on the first floor and can be a twin or double. Calke Cottage sleeps 6 with a kitchen diner on the ground floor alongside one of the bedrooms plus a downstairs bathroom. Two further bedrooms are on the first floor and can be made up as a twin or double. The outside space consists of the pretty cobbled courtyard where there is a brick built charcoal BBQ and picnic benches, a paved patio area is to the rear of the property which allows you to enjoy the views across the valley and there is a small lawn area off the carpark. There is ample parking with plenty of spaces. The property is located in the heart of the village Guest access Exclusive use of the self catering accommodation Other things to note Sleeps 34 guests. The majority of the bedrooms offer flexible options that can be made up as twins or doubles so you can pick and choose your layout to suit. You need to have made your request two weeks in advance as the beds cannot be changed upon arrival as there is no staff on site. We provide each guest with fresh towels. Plenty of private parking in the large car park If you are looking for a relaxing stay in the Peak District with plenty of country pursuits but are not looking for a party venue, this is the ideal property for your stay. We also accept well behaved Hen/Stag groups but please be mindful that you are in the centre of a village location. Please note that we are dog friendly at this property however, dogs must be kept under control at all times and never be left unattended. For your information, a maximum of 4 dogs are allowed on site if pre-arranged - they are welcome in all downstairs areas, but you will be expected to keep them out of the bedrooms and off the soft furnishings. We do charge £30 PER DOG for the duration of your stay. For the comfort of all guests, outdoor shoes are not generally worn on the carpeted area of the house, so don’t forget your slippers! Noise Policy - due to the quiet location, late-night noise must be confined to inside the building by 9 pm as neighbours are in close proximity. Please respect this. No fireworks, drones or Chinese Lanterns; you are on the edge of a National Park with wildlife and livestock close by. Wifi – we provide free wifi however, as the Peak District is in a beautiful rural location, sometimes there can be intermittent wifi signal that is beyond our control; we also hope you appreciate that we cannot guarantee wifi if there are technical issues out of our control. Please bring your own cot bed linen as this is not provided
