Our little garden studio is stylish and cosy. The windows overlook the garden and the roof windows flood the space with light, as well as giving views of the night sky. The village of Bridge has beautiful countryside walks on the doorstep, a local shop, cafe, three pubs and the superb Pig hotel. Canterbury is just 2 miles away and there is a bus service into town that stops just outside. The property has its own private entrance via the side gate of our house. The space Welcome to our cute and compact garden studio, nestled in the picturesque village of Bridge, just a few miles from the historic cathedral city of Canterbury. Perfect for a short one or two night stay, this snug retreat offers a peaceful base for countryside walks and local exploration. It is better suited to guests who wish to use it as a hub to explore the local area or dine in one of the superb local restaurants, as it is a small space. 🛏️ Sleeps 2 Guests • Main sleeping area: Mezzanine floor with a double futon mattress, accessed via a ladder and offering views of the night sky through glass roof windows. Not all the windows have blinds so bring a sleep mask! Ideal for star gazing. • Please note: Not suitable for elderly guests, young children, or those with mobility issues. Use the ladder and mezzanine floor at your own risk. • Additional sleeping option: Small sofa bed suitable for one guest, available for an extra £10 charge. 🛁 Amenities • Tiny shower room with sink and toilet. Some people may struggle with the low head height (just under 6 feet/1.82cm) and small space. • Towels and bed linen included • Kitchenette with: • Microwave • Toaster • Kettle • Mini cooler for drinks (No oven or hob – ideal for preparing snacks, not full meals) 🌞 Comfort & Convenience • Electric radiator and excellent thermal efficiency – cosy in colder months • Flat-screen TV and WiFi • Key safe for easy self check-in • Private entrance at the side of our house • Off-street parking - our drive is lower than the road so is unsuitable for low or long vehicles • Garden views and access to sit outside 🌄 Location Highlights • Start of the Elham Valley Way - perfect for walkers and nature lovers • Three lovely village pubs serving great food • A convenience store and cafe just a short stroll away • Close to the renowned Pig Hotel – ideal for a special meal or drink 🌞 Please Note • The roof windows do not all have blinds, so you may wish to bring a sleep mask during summer months. • There is limited head height under the mezzanine floor and in the shower room of just under 6 feet (182cm). • The approximate dimensions of the studio are 2.9 metres wide by 5.6 m long. • The drive is lower than the road so some longer or lower vehicles may not be suitable. There is also free parking along the high street. • The studio is situated in our garden but is not overlooked by our house, as all the windows face into the garden. We try to give our guests privacy but may need to occasionally use the outside space. • There are no cooking facilities - just a microwave, toaster, kettle and drinks cooler. Guest access Guests can park on the drive. There is a ramp down so it may be unsuitable for low vehicles. There is usually parking along the road outside too. There is a key safe by the side gate so guests can let themselves in. The entrance is down the the side alley of our house which then opens up to a patio area and the outhouse front door. The patio has a table and chairs and gets the morning sun so it is nice to have breakfast. The large garden has various seating areas. Other things to note There is limited space and head height under the mezzanine floor and in the bathroom so please read the listing fully before booking to check this won’t be a problem. There is a kitchenette but no oven or hobb. Guests use the ladder and mezzanine floor at their own risk. Some of the roof windows do not have blinds. We ask guests to be considerate and leave the place neat and tidy, washing up any dirty crockery etc. and taking rubbish out. Lights, heaters and electrical items should be switched off before departure too. Strictly no smoking or lighting candles!
