Built in 1920 Hillview has nostalgic charm with the mod cons of a lovingly restored family home. In addition to a carefully tended garden and spacious lawn, air conditioning and wood fire, the home also features an outdoor deck with barbecue area. Guests at Hillview can enjoy a continental breakfast. STRICTLY - NO PETS ALLOWED The space Full of period charm this large cottage has three generously sized bedrooms with two queen sized beds, and two single beds. The bedrooms feature delightful pressed metal ceilings, electric heating, wardrobes and carpeted floors. Hillview has two clean bathrooms, a large airy, light lounge room with wood fire, a sun/rec/reading room and a deck with barbecue and alfresco dining. Guest access Guests are most welcome to wander around the property, there are generous grassed lawns and gardens around the cottage and a very large tree lined fenced yard. Other things to note Located on Urallas oldest street Queen street was originally part of the Great Western Highway of the 1840’s. The wide street has period gutters made of black columnar basalt from Mount Beef and is walking distance to interesting historic houses, an early cemetery and the delightful wallaby sanctuary. Hillview is three blocks from the Uralla brewery, two pubs, an excellent pie shop, antiquarian book shop, homewares, wool clothing shop, grocery and antique shops. 22kms from the historic city of Armidale, and about 15km to Kentucky to the redoubtable Dobson distillery, famous for its whiskeys and gin.
