Thoughtfully designed for families and dog owners alike, it’s a place to slow down and reconnect. (Dogs welcome for a small £12 supplement). Hike or potter around cobblestone villages. The space The cottage, which is situated on a farm in the historic West Riding of Yorkshire, is a well equipt and though fully decorated, beautiful converted stables and hay loft. The property is full of character. A horse shoe of 'Prince' the Shire horse hangs in the entrance. You can enjoy stunning views over rolling countryside including the Yorkshire 3 peaks. Guest access Garden, farmyard. Other things to note Quirky Cottage is located on our farm, which is on the outskirts of a well resourced village. The village has excellent places to eat including a particularly good Indian (Musafirs) and Chinese (Jade Palace) restaurant / take-aways. Menus are in the cottage. There is a Co-op in the village and several pubs, one of which - the Red Lion - is a lovely dog friendly country pub within walking distance. There is a smashing village bakery - ask about their homemade goods. Huble Pie Cafe in the village is wonderful and they welicome dogs.There are two car charging stations in the village. There is a waterfall, stream and rural playground, within walking distance from the property. There is a lot to do for children in the area including; country farms, Billy Bob's ice-cream parlour, steam trains and canal boats rides. There are lots of beautiful villages to potter around. There are plenty of village festivals and country fairs during the summer. Skipton - Gateway to The Dales National Park - a bustling market town, is 10 minutes away. There is lots to do there including a castle and street market. There are exceptional walks right from the cottage. You can see the beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire Dales from the cottage. This is a very dog friendly area. There is an active local live music scene.
