The eat in kitchen has all stainless steel appliances & is stocked with basic cooking supplies. The location is uber convenient. Blocks from the Forest Park Blue line stop. Easy access to I290 to drive or Uber to downtown Chicago. Close to restaurants, shopping & pubs. Perfect getaway for couples, families, business travelers The space Monroe House is a recently remodeled 2 flat that was originally built over 100 years ago. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood it is only blocks from great coffee, restaurants & shops. It is perfect for solo & business travelers, families, couples. The unit includes 2 bedrooms with queen memory foam mattresses, full bath with tub/shower, kitchen with table for 4 ethernet connection & living room that has a Smart TV that has many apps where you can sign into your account including Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu & Apple TV. A fast & reliable wireless network is provided. The sofa, while available for spill over sleeping, is not appropriate for a 5th adult. This is a Rouse House property. KITCHEN Recently remodeled, with stainless steel appliances & an eat in table for 4. Every effort has been made to provide plates, silverware, glass ware, basic cooking pans & utensils. There is also a toaster & tea kettle. Salt, pepper, some basic spices & oil are provided. The refrigerator has filtered water & ice. The stovetop / oven is gas. There is a microwave & dishwasher. Dishwasher soap is provided. The coffee maker, ground coffee, sugar options are provided. There are also some snacks! DINING There is a table for 4 in the kitchen. FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN I highly recommend you bring baby gates if you have mobile infants or toddlers. I have a Pack n Play & a high chair available upon request. The fenced backyard is suitable for supervised children. We recommend bringing your stroller & enjoying a pretty walk thru the tree lined neighborhood or maybe up to Brown Cow for some ice cream. There is also a playground 3 blocks east of the home. Please contact me with any questions. PETS Monroe House is dog pet friendly only in the 1st floor unit. There is a $100 charge PER pet, per stay to cover the additional cleaning required upon your departure. A pet bowl, bed & furniture covers are available. Pets can relax on the furniture IF it is protected by a cover. Pets are NOT allowed on any bed, including the pull out sofa beds. Evidence of pets in the bed linens will result in an additional extra cleaning charge. All pets must be current with all vaccines & be flea/tick free. Village ordinance requires all pet waste to be picked up immediately. There is a back yard courtyard, but at this time, we ask that you do not allow your pet to use it as their bathroom. At this time, cats & other animals are not considered. For longer than 14 day stays, an additional cleaning will be required as well as check out cleaning. I will discuss on guest by guest basis, depending on size & number of pets. EXTRAS I provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, lotion, makeup remover towelettes, cotton swabs. Please use the black wash cloths marked "makeup" for washing off faces. There are extra towels provided. There is 1 extra set of sheets in each bedroom should you need them. Dishwasher & dishwashing soap, disinfecting wipes, disinfecting spray, garbage bags, paper towel & laundry soap is also provided. PARKING There is 1 parking space available on the north side of the home off the public alley. Additional parking needs may be available & should be discussed with me. Guest access Smartlock located on front door with code. You will have full access to entire 2 bedroom / 1 bath unit on the 1st floor of building. The fenced backyard is shared with the 2nd floor unit however there are 2 different areas for guests to relax. The BBQ grill is shared with 2nd floor unit. Other things to note NOTES FOR GUESTS Minimum age of guest renting is 25. Photo ID is required to verify. Renting guest is required to be occupant during entire reserved length of stay. Additional guests over 5 guests have to be approved by HOST. I require a vacation rental contract to be signed online. It will be emailed after booking & needs to be signed within 48 hours of booking & prior to arrival. Backyard courtyard: at this time, we are renovating the courtyard. There is some seating & a BBQ grill available. There are no parties or excessive noise allowed. Lights out in the courtyard is 10:00pm. Monroe House is in a quiet residential neighborhood & you are absolutely expected to respect the residents who live here. NO smoking, vaping, marijuana or cigars are allowed anywhere in or around home & property. If you or other guest smokes, do NOT BOOK. CHECKOUT You are expected to clean all food items out of refrigerator. Please load & run dishwasher. Please take out all trash. Log out of any personal entertainment platforms on SmartTV
