This is an affordable & private location for those not wanting to share space w/others. Being secluded but close to everything is what attracts so many. It's been a 'hub' for travels who seek longer visits to Baltimore, DC, Blue Ridge Parkway & even West Virginia and Charlottesville! On either side of it are Leesburg & Hamilton, just a few miles away, w/great restaurants, nightlife & a winery is w/in a short walk. It's ideal especially for couples, solo adventurers, & business travelers! This efficiency is in the basement of our log house which is, more often than not, very busy during the spring, summer and fall with wedding and winery weeks or weekends. Therefore the efficiency is less likely to be available for a whole week during that time. During those months, in this 2018 season, we definitely can not afford to block a whole month's stay in the efficiency, where the income could be a quarter of the space above it. This apartment is roughly 17 miles to Dulles and 45 to Washington, DC; it's between Hamilton & Leesburg, VA; both cities have shops & attractive sites all within walking distance of their downtown areas. Just outside of Leesburg is Leesburg Corner Outlet with great, popular discount stores. There are many historical buildings in the county; one, just south, is Oatlands Plantation & offers tours most of the year. Luray Caverns & Charles Town Races are within an easy drive too. The Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority owns & operates many parks in the area, some with golf courses, pools, farm demonstrations, corn maize & all sorts of recreational activities. White's Ferry can take you across the Potomac River to Maryland & Civil War history abounds in Loudoun Co with the largest engagement taking place at Ball's Bluff. For a more physical or mental challenge there are the newly renovated Ida Lee Park & Recreational Center & the Rust Library, conveniently located next to each other & offer many varied activities. Location/location/location! We fell in love with this property and built the log house with this efficiency below the master bedroom/walk-in closet/bathroom area thinking a long-term resident would be advisable but soon realized the greater benefit it would bring to many others if they had a chance to see and be a part of this lovely area. To discuss anything else, try leaving a detailed message at four 3 and another four, the number five 3 and another 5, lastly twenty-five 40. Guests may use all of the efficiency, but the use of the rest of the basement area, which includes the sitting area & pool table, ONLY IF there are no guests using the two floors above. The washer and dryer, at the far end of the basement, are available during the daylight hours, only. There are over 16.5 acres to walk around and within, much with trails, but please wear bright orange during hunting season! The property overlooks hundreds of acres of conservation easement land and then the Blue Ridge Mountains beyond, none of which is ours, nor do we have permission to traverse. Please be aware of the Private Property signs. Either of us is available by email, text or phone anytime, but we would prefer it to be between 8am-9pm, unless an emergency. If there is need, our manager can assist if our conversation doesn't; they often stop by to make sure everything is all right at some point during the stay. Although close to town, we are a bit secluded. There is a delightful, considerate family that lives across the street from us; please treat them the same. Renters need a car for this apartment and preferably AWD. This space does have some 'arrival needs' such as: dish soap, TP, wraps and foils, seasonings, a few condiments, coffee filters and some tea; I just ask that you replenish if there is not enough for the next group. It is in a fairly wooded area; if you are not familiar with this type of area and have allergies, you might expect them to react when surrounded by this very natural setting and plan accordingly. There are also animals and bugs here; the varied conditions of the environment are not under our control. Windridge also has feather pillows on some of the beds; please just put those in the closet if you bring your own to use while there. No parties or gatherings! This space is only for the 1 or 2 staying in the efficiency; eviction and/or security deposit will not be refunded, if this should occur. NO FIRES, SMOKING, VAPING, SNUFF ON THE PROPERTY - EVICTION WILL OCCUR IF THIS HAPPENS AND/OR NO REFUND OF SECURITY DEPOSIT.
