Wanlockhead, hidden away in the Lowther hills, is Scotland's highest village with a rich mining history dating back to the Roman times. The space The cottage has Two bedrooms on the first floor: -1 x double -1 x twin ​-Gas central heating with wood-burning stove Bathroom with roll-top bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC -Kitchen and separate dining room -Living room with TV with Fire TV (Netflix, BBC, Prime etc), DVD player/DVDs, and HDMI lead to watch from laptop (no signal from aerial for channels) -Super fast fibre Broadband/WiFi -Quiet working environment with comfortable work space -Shed to store cycles -Enclosed private garden with stunning views, outdoor seating, fire pit and BBQ options -Daily songbird wake up call An indoor heated leisure pool is available for exclusive use and is a short walk from the cottage. Please note the charges for the pool are separate to the stay. We will provide an external link which can be used to book subject to availability and to pay for the pool directly. Due to the age of the property there are a few quirky features including the narrow staircase to access the bedrooms on the first floor.
