A bright & cosy flat in the heart of bohemian Leith. The flat is halfway between Edinburgh's historic Old Town and the beautiful Shore area, so it's great to explore the city! You're also close to the New Town and Botanic Gardens, only a 20 minute walk away. Beside the flat you've got loads of top cafes, bars and restaurants. There is free parking 5 minutes walk from the flat. The tram stop from/to the airport is only 2 minutes from the flat. The space > The Flat? A bright, top floor (3rd floor) flat in the trendy area of Leith. Your bedroom has a king size bed and a view of the garden. > Will I be sharing the flat? Only with our friendly cat, Meena :) > What is provided? Bed linen, towels, shampoo, hair dryer. Free coffee and tea. Fast WiFi internet. > Is your flat good for sightseeing? In our opinion, yes. It's a little outside the city centre, but the area is friendly, authentic, safe and has lots a great cafes and bars. It's also a main bus route so you can catch a bus to the city centre every 10 minutes. > Is there Parking? Yes, you can find free parking 5 minutes walk from our flat. > What time is check-in? Check-in time is flexible. If we can't be there to meet you, we will leave the keys in a keybox so you can let yourself in. > What time is check-out? Ideally 1400 but we're flexible. > Can I leave my luggage after I check out? Yes, no problem. > Any tips on saving money? If you're travelling on a budget then you may find Itison and Groupon useful. Also, if you'd rather pay for your stay by bank transfer that's fine too. > Does the flat have an interesting story? Yes, the block of flats was originally built for Leith's Shipworkers in the early 19th Century so our apartment would have housed a single family. What is now the living room would have been the Sunday Room, which was only used one day a week, Sunday! The family spent the rest of the time on the other side of the flat in the Bedroom. You'll see a few original features which add to the charm. Guest access The entire flat Other things to note We will be away, but our cat Meena will be there, and we would ask you to look after her during your stay. She’s a friendly ball of cuteness, she's comfortable around guests and likes attention. Please only book if you're comfortable around cats and happy to give Meena some attention.
