Our 1900s lake house sits on fifteen private wooded acres above Still Creek Reservoir in the Poconos — five bedrooms, seven beds, three full baths, room for ten, and no neighbors in sight. Guests describe it the same way over and over: beautiful, peaceful, secluded. OUTSIDE A private in-ground pool with two sun decks and loungers. A fire pit down by the water, where just about every group we host ends up roasting s’mores. A lakeside gazebo for coffee at sunrise. Trampolines, a basketball court, a playground, and open lawn for bikes and games. Room for a volleyball net if your group brings one. Deer come down to the treeline most mornings. INSIDE A full kitchen built for cooking for a crowd. The Den — Philadelphia Eagles memorabilia wall to wall, with a fireplace, a bar, and a pool table. A sunroom with a 75-inch TV, deep sofas, board games and books. And the Blu Acres motivation gym, for anyone who still wants to train on vacation. BUILT FOR GROUPS Family reunions, girls’ trips, church and wellness retreats, milestone birthdays, team weekends. Ten guests across five bedrooms and three baths, with enough separate living space that nobody is on top of anybody. An air mattress is available, and the LoveSac in the sunroom is genuinely comfortable to sleep on if you need one more spot. Pool season runs late March through October 15. Guest access Guest access is limited to the inside of the house and the grounds in front of and to the right of the home. The property line extends to the tree line. Guests may use all decks and the pool area, and may walk the shoreline up to the tree line — but the water itself is off limits: no swimming, wading or boating in the reservoir. The on-site barn is the grounds keeper’s residence and a separate event space, available to rent on request. Other things to note POOL SEASON: The pool opens in late March and closes October 15. POOL HEATING — OPTIONAL, $100 PER DAY: Heating must be arranged and paid in advance. When purchased, the heater runs from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM and is set to 85°F. Guests must not adjust the heater or its schedule. If it is run past 8:00 PM, $15 applies for each additional hour. If the water is found above 85°F, a flat $250 applies. THE RESERVOIR: Enjoy the shoreline, the gazebo and the view — but going out on the water is not permitted. No swimming, wading, boating or fishing.
