Wild hideaway near Lewes

Welcome to your wild hideaway. Self-contained with your own entrance, secluded garden, living room, luxury shower and kingsize bed under the eaves. An easy ride from London, Lewes and Brighton, it's ideal for quick escapes, romantic breaks, poetic inspiration or combining city/culture with rural retreating. Great pubs, walks, the Downs, Glyndebourne, Charleston, Firle, Farley Farm all approx. 10 mins. Designed as a creative workspace, there's no TV but good WiFi: no streetlights, lots of stars. The space Think quirky, cosy, creaky sometimes, deep inky blue walls and ceilings, beams and old timber, lived in and much loved. A separate room with a desk overlooking trees and the pond. Mainly wild gardens, birdsong, horses clopping by on the lane, weeping willows dripping into a large pond, occasional ducks and moorhens. SECOND BEDROOM OPTION If you prefer to sleep in separate bedrooms, we'd be happy to make up the double bed downstairs in The Green Room for you. Please ask for rates. THIRD GUEST OPTION If you're friends who like to travel as a trio, please send an enquiry to ask for rates/availability. Guest access It's all yours! You'll have your own two-storey entirely separate end of our stretch cottage with your own front door, good sized private garden and a parking space. Check-in is after 3pm, ideally before 6pm but we try to be flexible if you need to arrive later and can also offer a self check-in lockbox. If you're going to Glyndebourne, Love Supreme or other time-sensitive performances/events nearby and need an earlier/later check-in or luggage drop, we always try to accommodate, please ask in advance. Other things to note We provide ground coffee, tea, milk, sugar and a jar of muesli along with fresh croissants as a welcome or 'bienvenu' for your first morning. Please let us know if you'd prefer non-dairy milk and fruit loaf as a vegan alternative. There are two friendly black cats on site who think they're in charge, they might pop round to say hello but they know they're not allowed in your space. Sorry but due to the wild pond/natural hazards for smaller humans, our place is unsuitable for infants/toddlers/children under 12.
