100 year old extended& modernised house with 4 bedrooms. It’s warm, quiet & comfortable with all mod cons. It’s in a quiet residential street with free parking. Local buses into town centre are frequent if you wish to be car free for shopping or sightseeing The space It’s a recently modernised four bedroom semi detached house in a quiet residential road. I love roses, flowers& my vegetable garden which lend an air of country cottage. Morning light floods the front of the house and afternoons warm up the back rooms& garden. Evenings can have spectacular sunsets. I am to provide a mini retreat for my guests, it is a peaceful & quiet environment. The decor is mostly plain white but adorned with collected artists works including friends& family pieces. The furniture is comfortable& colourful with a mix of inherited items, some have been up-cycled. Slightly arty/bohemian look. Downstairs flooring includes some beautiful reclaimed mahogany parquet, upstairs is carpeted throughout. It is not a pristine picture postcard card hotel but a living home & work in progress!! Also because I am a gardener& grow a lot of vegetables there is often gardening related paraphernalia around. One unique feature is there are no TV’s, instead I use lamps and fairy lights to provide you with a relaxing calming environment away from disturbing News programmes. There are also books and board games. I’m happy to play backgammon or rummykub with you!! Of course you are welcome to use your own devices in your room if you like Netflix etc and I have boosters throughout the house which provide first class WiFi You may occasionally hear train noise but they are in the distance Guest access In addition to your bedroom and en-suite you will have access to the living room and kitchen/ dining room. There is a coffee table& chairs on the patio too & it can be a lovely place to unwind in the afternoon& evening sun with a cuppa or glass of wine( in the right season of course!!) Other things to note Please note it’s a non smoking and pet free home. A separate fridge is provided for guests items. A DIY breakfast is provided eg cereals, milk, bread and butter, jam, and eggs. A selection of teas is also provided and freshly roasted ground coffee bags . Special diets can be catered for. Please enquire. You will have access to all kitchen equipment and appliances. You can help yourself to breakfast and you may make other meals ( timing by arrangement). Please clean and tidy up after cooking as you would at home. There is a dishwasher. Please ask if you would like a portable cooling fan in the room during hot spells. A detail to clarify is that I have a lodger living in the house and often have friends or family visiting. Thank you
