Description

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish chalet with views of the Tamar River. Thoughtfully designed with fully accessible features, warm but functional furniture, plus all the little extras (coffee, local produce) needed to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The space The chalet was built with accessibility in mind, optimising the views and connection to the kanamaluka estuary/Tamar River, less than a stones throw away. Lay back on the king sized bed and enjoy the view of the sky and treeline through the feature window. Ample built-in wardrobes provide space for longer stays, plus a full length mirror, and a small desk space. The spacious bathroom has a large walk-in shower with optional seat, vanity with storage, and an accessible toilet. The open-plan living room features a fully equipped kitchen, a four-person, height-adjustable dining table, couch, cosy chair, plus a television and stereo system connected to bluetooth and wifi. The best sound, however, is the flowing river, which can be enjoyed from the wrap-around verandah and deck seating. You will be comfortable all year round with reverse cycle cooling and heating. Guest access You’ll have the whole chalet to yourself, including level parking and access to an EV charging point, 7.4 kW, situated at the parking area. Other things to note The soul of Moon River is the view of the ever changing patterns in the river and sky. Full moons here are spectacular. Even on darker nights, the stars are incredible to behold. We recommend sleeping with the doors open (the screen doors are lockable) to hear the sound of the river as you rest. The local wildlife is vibrant both day and night. Expect to see wallabies, including pademelons, also echidnas, possums, bandicoots, and many birds. It is not unusual to see and hear Wedge-tail and Sea eagles and native hens (affectionately called "turbo chooks" now extinct on the Australian mainland), and even the occasional seal swimming along the river.
