We created St Ives to bring a touch of luxury to the heart of a Jamaican community. The house has been designed to provide comfort in a remote, peaceful and beautiful location. Take it easy in the hammock or sit in the breeze of the outside seating area. Or simply watch the waves from the patio. St Ives has a private beach where you can swim & snorkel when the sea is calm. A cook can be arranged . We can arrange airport pick up. Weddings here are possible. The space There are three double bedrooms, all with ensuites. The beds are hand made by a local artist, along with a range of fittings and artworks made from local driftwood. All bedrooms have views of the sea. There is also a sofa bed available on the mezzanine, which also has its own bathroom, which can be made up if needed. St Ives has been designed for eco-living. It is a quiet peaceful place with solar power and rainwater harvesting. As we have air-conditioning, St Ives also has a connection to the power grid that can be switched if needed. Rainwater is collected for use in bathrooms and water supply. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house. This is our home, so you will see some of the artwork we have gathered. Access to the beach is via a set of stone steps. Access to the beach and swimming pool is permitted with the acceptance that guests take full responsibility for their safety. The pool and beach areas are unsupervised and access is at guests own risk. If you have concerns about accessibility to the beach, please contact us before making a booking. Note: we have recently had a landslip on the beach due to the heavy rain. This area must be avoided by guests for their own safety. Access to the beach swimming pool is clear and not affected by the landslip. The beach swimming pool uses sea water. Other things to note Weddings have taken place at our home overlooking the sea. Everything is possible and we can help organise that.
