The space We have seven guest bedrooms, two have western style beds (bunks and trundle beds) while the other 5 rooms are Japanese style with tatami mat flooring and shoji paper screens. All rooms have Wi-Fi internet available and a valley and/or mountain view. We roast specialty coffee onsite at the lodge All guests receive a complimentary breakfast which includes pastries that are baked onsite by our international baker along with a full café style drink menu (from our inhouse barista) from which guests can indulge themselves with a variety of coffee, both hand-drip and espresso based options, along with our amazing (real) hot chocolate. Outside of breakfast hours all guests will have access to freshly roasted coffee during their stay with hand-drip facilities along with tea to which guests can help themselves. We are very close by a public onsen, shrine, beautiful clean rivers (great for swimming during summer) and hiking trails that lead all the way to the top of Mount Tanigawa. There are many outdoor activities to enjoy in the area and we can assist in making the necessary arrangements for those wanting to participate. Other things to note Sleds, snowshoes, snow craft toys and bicycles available to borrow. Hiking trails start literally right at the lodge including one to the peak of Mount Tanigawa! A local beautiful and affordable onsen is a picturesque 3-5 minute walk away while the nearest ski field is only 750 meters away. We provide a complimentary hand crafted/baked breakfast (with vegetarian option) with barista made coffee while there is cozy mountain Italian restaurant with an excellent view less than a minute walk away. As we operate a small batch coffee roastery onsite we offer complimentary specialty coffee to our guest during their stay.
