Description
Ideal for us Camp: Quiet.. on a dead end road; facing west for sunsets; 150' of lake frontage for privacy; sandy beach; sound of waves lulling us to sleep; 1,200mbs internet. Super RUSTIC! Small stream babbles through the woods. The water source is lake water for the toilet and shower. Drinking water provided. Turnover cleanings only available on Fridays, so mostly we are planning on renting Friday to Friday. Feel free to ask about other dates. Unfortunately because of insurance no dogs. The space This is a rustic uninsulated camp right on the Lake Seymour. It was built in the 1950's, and has been used as a very rustic camp ever since. It is not fancy, so if you want fancy, this isn't the spot for you. If you want a chill spot for a family and a dog or two and like it "campy" this is should be a great fit. There are 3 cozy bedrooms. One of them has the shower in it, so the shower was clearly an after thought. You enter into a cozy kitchen on the east side. The 1/2 bath and bedroom with the shower are accessed from this room. Then you go into the dining room which the other two bedrooms are accessed from and there is a large room with a bank of old windows facing the lake. There is also a screened in porch on the lake side. The sound of the waves lapping on the sandy beach sold us on the property. If you want to feel like you are going back in time to a simpler day and age, but also need fast Wifi... this camp could be the spot for you! Guest access It's a .3 acre lot which is roughly 1/2 woods and 1/2 camp/parking beach. You will have 100% access to the whole camp and property. It has 150 feet of water front and a dock for tying up a motor boat... (BYOBoat). We are leaving a couple of kayaks, a row boat, and a canoe. There is a mobile fire pit and there is plenty of fire wood, as well as a propane BBQ. We have board games, some children's books, etc. We hope this place is a great opportunity for you to connect with each other and nature. Other things to note We only have turn over cleanings available on Fridays, so our hope is that most rentals will start on a Friday and go through a Friday. Feel free to ask about other dates, but because of the lack of cleaning availability, in July and August especially, we are unlikely, do short stays. The prices are basically based on a weekly price so shorter stays would have to be higher prices to make up for the lost rentals on the other days of the week. The camp has good privacy, but there are other houses nearby, so we aren't expecting people to be silent after 9pm, but its not the right place if you really want to stay up late and being loud.
