Toad Farm Guesthouse Tlell

A 5-minute walk from miles of beach, Toad Farm is a recently renovated bungalow on 30 acres in rural Tlell. On the way to the beach, coffee, tea, ice cream, brunch, groceries and more can be found at the Crow's Nest Cafe and Store. Tlell is centrally-located on Haida Gwaii, facilitating adventures north and south throughout the islands. Owners Lynn Lee and Leandre Vigneault live at the bottom of the hill in one of two other homes on the property. The space Enjoy a lovely enclosed sun porch - a place to drink your morning coffee, listen to the ocean and birds, and enjoy the tranquility. Or to have a glass of wine and listen to the evening chorus of frogs. The kitchen is fully-equipped with electric stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee press, teapot, and cooking utensils. A propane BBQ is located on the outdoor deck. Basic cooking supplies are available including excellent coffee and teas from a local shop, sugar, white and whole wheat flours, spices, cooking and olive oil. A loaf of homemade bread, butter and a dozen farm fresh eggs from our chickens will greet you! The guesthouse has a master bedroom with queen-sized bed and adjoining bathroom, and a second bedroom with two single beds and a second bathroom across the hallway. A futon couch in the living room provides an extra double-bed sleeping space, and another full-length couch could accommodate one more. The living/dining room has a pine ceiling, laminate flooring, and comfy couches that call to you to curl up with a good book or to watch a DVD movie. A dining table, chairs for eight, and an eclectic selection of books, CDs and DVDs are available for your entertainment in absence of television reception. Some puzzles and toys are there to engage young guests. A washer and dryer are available for use in the front porch with laundry detergent provided. A small chest freezer can be plugged in for use as needed. Guesthouse heating is provided by an air source heat pump with circulating forced air heat to each room. Guest access Guests rent the entire house and have access to all parts of the house including use of the sun room, laundry facilities, back deck, a small yard and parking spot. Other things to note Rates listed for the guesthouse include the GST we are required to charge. There is no cellular signal at the guest house but if there is wifi so a person can make calls this way of they have turned on their wifi calling option before arriving. This listing is not suitable for hunters as there is no place to hang, skin, process or store deer on the property or in the guesthouse.
