Ideal for couples or small groups, the shack blends laid-back 70s charm with thoughtful modern comforts. Whether you're exploring the stunning Tasman Peninsula or simply slowing down to reconnect with nature, Dune Shack offers the perfect escape. The space Dune Shack offers a rare Tasmanian experience, combining privacy, nature, and comfort. Set in a large native garden, the property has private access to 5.5 km of pristine beach - run barefoot to the water in seconds or simply fall asleep listening to the ocean. Inside, you’ll find colourful, comfortable interiors perfect for unwinding. Light the fireplace, toast marshmallows, browse books and board games, or sip a cup of Love Tea while soaking in the garden and ocean glimpses. Step outside to the dune for a seat with a panoramic view of the bay - often visited by dolphins, seals, eagle rays, and, in season, whales. The renovated kitchen comes well stocked with essentials and thoughtful extras, while the bedrooms feature electric blankets, fan heaters, and extra bedding for chilly nights. Heating is provided by both the woodfire and a heat pump. The large private garden is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors: • Custom hot stone sauna • Firepit and plenty of firewood • Hammock and outdoor seating • Outdoor kitchen and BBQ • Two outdoor showers For activities, you’ll find a picnic set and blanket for beach days, yoga mats for stretching in the garden, and outdoor games like Finska and bocce. Please note that there is no fence between the garden and dune/ beach. The shack is accessed via an internal driveway that is shared with our neighbours - there is plenty of parking on our property but if you are considering bringing a boat please let us know. Other things to note Children and infants are very welcome at our shack but we do not supply cots or high chairs, if travelling with little ones please bring these items with you. We love to cater to pets but please note that there is no fence between the garden and the beach. Please also pick up after your pets. Doggy bags provided. During the summer months (1st December - 31st March) dogs must be on leash between 10am - 4pm. Outside of these times dogs are allowed off leash but must be under effective control.
