Description

The Jolly Rancher is one of 6 magical cabins nestled together in Bass Lake. These rustic, fun and funky cabins are the most unique AirBnb experiences in Bass Lake! You are a 10 minute walk to the lake and a 25 minute drive to Yosemite’s South Entrance. NOTE: Yosemite will remain open during the government shut down! Park roads, trails, lookouts, and other open-air areas will remain accessible to visitors. The space Built in 1948 and recently upgraded, this private LOWER UNIT is a perfect getaway for families, friends, and couples looking for a unique experience in the mountains. This space blends quirky retro furnishings with western mountain living. It has a large cowboy hot tub, private driveway, entrance, backyard space and is decked out with a mini bar, dining booth, fire pit, propane grill, hammock, porch swing, dart board, Sega Genesis, record player, cozy blankets, comfy beds, and a plethora of board games. A picture perfect waterfall and quaint pond sits at the center of the property and is accessible by all of our cabin guests to relax, meditate or read a book next to its tranquil waters. The property sits on a hill and looks out into the beautiful Sierras. COWBOY HOT TUB: This is a large beautiful private 8’ metal hot tub set into the ground on a ridge overlooking the forest. It includes jets, Bluetooth speakers, floating card table with water proof cards and uno and (in warm months) two lounge chairs and a cold shower for rinsing. Temperature is set to approximately 101 degrees and can not be changed. NOTE: The hot tub is split between guests in the upper unit by day. You have access to the hot tub on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Pick mint, strawberries, and herbs out of the terraced gardens in the summer months. Roast marshmallows and hotdogs over the fire pit. Relax and read a book in the hammock or porch swing. Listen to vinyl records while playing board games in the horseshoe booth. Relax or do yoga near the gushing waterfall. Choose from the 120+ classic VHS's for a magical movie night on the wrap around couch. Sit and watch the snow fall from the warm bubbling waters of the cowboy hot tub. You are a breezy 10 MINUTE WALK to Bass Lake, and a short 25 minute drive to the Southern Gate of Yosemite National Park. For more pics check out our IG @cookiebuttercabins ** Due to new county regulations, the wood burning fire pit has been converted into a beautiful new propane fire pit. No wood necessary. Thanks! NOTES / HOUSE RULES: (1) The JOLLY RANCHER is a completely private LOWER UNIT with its own driveway, parking, entrance, living space, backyard, patio with table, fire pit and grill. The upstairs is a separate rental with its own driveway and outdoor space. (2) HEAT: This space has central heat to keep you warm and cozy in the cooler months. An AC unit is added in summer months for additional cooling. (3) PET RULES: We are pet friendly! However, pets are not allowed on beds, duvets, furniture or cabin blankets as an effort to reduce pet hair and smells. We always suggest bringing a pet bed or blanket. Dogs may not be left alone at the cabin unsupervised. (4) PARKING is up a short winding driveway. During inclement weather or if guest is uncomfortable with the winding driveway you may park at the bottom for easy access to the road. In this scenario, a short flight of steps along the waterfall will bring you to your front door! (5) CAMERAS: No parties or large groups. Exterior cameras are used to ensure you do not exceed your guest limit. (6) QUIET HOURS / INFANTS: Please respect quiet hours from 10PM to 8AM. Due to these quiet hours and the peaceful nature of the cabin we do not allow infants or babies that cry at night and may disturb the upper unit. Please check out our other family friendly cabin options: The Cookiebutter, The Snickerdoodle or The Honeycomb. (7) EARLY CHECK-INS and late checkouts are unavailable. This includes luggage and grocery drop-offs. (8) OUTDOOR FIRES are not allowed during county-wide burn bans, which can occur in the high summer and fall months. This is due to heightened fire risk in the area at those times. Outdoor propane BBQ grill is allowed year-round. (9) CANCELATIONS: We adhere to AirBnb’s strict cancelation policy and suggest all guests obtain travel insurance to protect themselves in the rare instance your travel plans change. (10) PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that this is an older cabin that has been refurbished with modern appliances. Stairs are steeper, windows are thinner, outdoor spaces are lush and wild. The cabin is perfect for romantics, adventurers and those looking for a magical and unique experience. We work hard for our 5 star reviews and want to make sure you are the ideal guests :) Guest access You will have full access to your own private driveway, parking, entry, living space, outdoor space with patio, grill, hammock and fire pit. A digital keypad is used to enter the property. Owners are available to give you tour of the space and property upon request. Other things to note YOSEMITE has initiated a reservation system for certain times of the year, particularly high season and holidays. Please check out their website to confirm your need for a reservation.
