Classic UP Cottage on Big Shag Lake. 20 mins from KI Sawyer Airport, 35 mins from Marquette, 1 hour from Munising. Enjoy fishing off the dock, paddling around the lake, swimming and a Sauna! 12' aluminum row boat, a two person paddle boat, two sit on kayaks, a SUP, and a kids kayak included. Big Shag Lake is an all sport lake that is perfect for swimming, fishing and boating. There is a public launch, bring your boat! Enjoy fantastic sunsets on the deck and stargazing after dark. The space Classic UP lake cottage, with added modern amenities. Two pairs of snowshoes provided for winter adventures WIFI and basic Cable provided, wood provided for outdoor firepit. No indoor fires allowed. No A/C fans are provided in bedrooms. New 30' long x 5' wide dock for summer 2025 perfect for fishing and all watersports. Bass and sunfish can be caught right off the dock. Michigan fishing license required, bring your pole and some worms! Swim at your own risk, life jackets are provided and must be worn if out on kayaks/SUP or in row boat. The shore is a mix of sand and rocks. The lake is about 7' deep at the end of the dock and quickly drops down to 30' deep. There is a parking area for boat trailers at the cottage and a public launch nearby. It is our family cottage no parties or events. You will have the place to yourself but our neighbors are nearby and will call us if noise level is not reasonable. 8 people can be accommodated with a provided air mattress. Guest access Entire cottage and yard/waterfront. Other things to note No fireworks No smoking No parties or events No indoor fires in fireplace. Lake is no wake before 10am and after 6pm. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am
