The Old Timber Store - tiny home in a village

The Old Timber Store is an authentically renovated, unique property located within the Peak District National Park village of Youlgrave. The area is surrounded by sites of special scientific interest, natural beauty and breathtaking walks in every direction, and only a 10 minute drive from Chatsworth house and Haddon Hall. @staypeaks The space Designed to reflect the history of the building, and to provide a space that is just a little more unique. A moody, authentic and relaxing place to stay. As you walk through the glass fronted entrance you will be greeted with earthy tones and textures. The newly lime plastered walls cover the open plan downstairs living area giving the space a natural warmth and charm. The wide rough sawn oak floorboards and use of authentic beams above give an insight into the former history of the property. A brand new black shaker kitchen with quartz worktops and brass accents bring a whole new era for that modern, but moody feel. The south-facing bedroom is flooded with light and has tall ceilings, stunning exposed beams and trusses. The two windows overlook neighboring cottages and gardens and is a great spot for capturing the most inspiring sunrises. A bespoke made solid oak bed, with luxury 400 thread count Egyptian cotton bedding will ensure you have a good night sleep. A tousled olive tree nearby and a glass floor panel, which allows light to flood downstairs but also to check up on your four legged friend (or at least thats what we do!). The bathroom features a walk in raindrop shower with Mandarin stone tiles. Aromatherapy body wash, handwash and lotion are included. The property doesn't have any outdoor space or an enclosed garden however, there are footpaths and countryside walks directly from the doorstep. Guest access The property is situated just off the main route through the village with on street parking available directly opposite. The house is yours for the duration of your stay, and there is a key safe to the right of the glass entrance with a four digit combination. This combination will be sent a few days prior to your stay. Other things to note The village has many amenities including 3 local pubs serving food, Peak feast bakery and a great village shop with cafe for anything you should need. The George Hotel offers amazing takeaway fish and chips which can be for a cozy night in or a short walk down the Dale to sit by the river. We offer complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk on arrival. We ask for dogs to be kept downstairs during your stay to ensure of no additional cleaning or laundry charges. Important: We do not have car charging facilities. Using our mains sockets pose as a fire risk and voids our insurance. Theres plenty of car charging points in neighbouring villages and towns within a 2 - 3 mile radius.
