Located in the central business district, the Saran apartment building was originally built in 1920. This historic building is in a prime location to enjoy all that downtown Valparaiso and the surrounding areas have to offer. This garden/basement apartment features a modern and cozy living space as well as 2 private bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. In-unit washer and dryer add to the convenience of your stay. There are 7 stairs to get down to the apartment. We welcome children and provide a pack ‘n play with linens, high chair, & children's dishes. One of the bedrooms includes a space that can be easily curtained off to provide a sleeping area for a baby or toddler. ***NOTE: the space is not "baby-proofed" so children must be supervised at all times. Guests are responsible for their children's safety. BEDROOMS: Unit accommodates 4 adults Bedroom 1: king bed Bedroom 2: queen bed + small space that can be curtained off for pack ‘n play KITCHEN: Small but full kitchen includes gas stove and oven, fridge and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, and blender. Dishes/glasses (including kids plates, bowls and cups) are provided along with basic spices, cooking oil, salt/pepper, and coffee filters. Pots, pans, and mixing bowls provided. DINING: Dining table seats 4 and 1 high chair is provided. BATHROOM: 1 full bath with walk in glass shower. LAUNDRY: In-unit front loading stacked washer and dryer with laundry detergent provided. WORK SPACE: A desk is provided as a designated workspace for your convenience. TECHNOLOGY: Wifi is provided and the living room has a smart TV with access to 1,000s of preloaded movies and shows as well as access to live TV through the Nitco app. HEAT/AC: The unit utilizes baseboard radiant heat that is warm to the touch and has AC window units, all of which you control. Because this apartment is located in the heart of downtown there are numerous dining and shopping experiences just steps away!! Adjacent to the apartment building is Brick Street Burrito, a must try casual restaurant for "on the go" eating. Less than a block's walk on Lincolnway is Fluid coffee shop; a perfect place to start your morning. On the corner just next to the building is Lincoln Flats, a favorite neighborhood restaurant and bar for your evening night cap. In addition to these favorites, guests will be provided with a binder filled with other local hotspots and experiences.
