Spend your days exploring the beaches around Bude, then come back to a warm fire, a glass of something, and total peace. If you’re lucky, you’ll spot the barn owls in the evenings — they’re a regular here. 🍳 Cook & Dine The kitchen has everything you need, whether you’re making a quick breakfast or a proper meal: Oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher Kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine Washing machine (available for stays of 4+ nights) 🛏 Sleeping Bedroom 1: King-size bed with en-suite shower Bedroom 2: Twin beds or Super King (let us know your preference) with en-suite bathroom (no shower) Please note: there are 2 steps down into the second bedroom. 🛋 Living Space The living area is set up for proper downtime — a big corner sofa, Smart TV with Netflix and Freeview, and fast Wi-Fi if you need it. The log burner makes a big difference in the evenings, especially in cooler months. 🌅 Outside The garden is private and fully enclosed, so you can relax knowing dogs can wander safely. There’s a BBQ for warmer days, and open countryside all around. Evenings are the best time — it’s quiet, dark, and you’ll often see wildlife. 🐾 Dogs Dogs are very welcome here, and the space is set up with them in mind. We allow: 1 large dog 2 medium dogs or up to 3 small dogs They’re welcome on sofas and beds — we just ask that you bring a king-size duvet cover. Throws are provided. 🐑 A Note on the Setting This is a working countryside location, so you may see sheep grazing in the field opposite. If needed, they can be moved before your stay. 🌿 Optional Extras We also have on-site meadow pods with hot tubs if you’re looking to make your stay a bit more special. Guest access Private parking for multiple cars and private access to the property through own front door. The property is detached. We will happily store bikes, walking equipment etc in our secure barn. Other things to note We provide everything you need… just a couple of small countryside notes below: The property is on a septic tank system so nothing other than toilet paper must be flushed down the toilet. We also request that you do not use antibacterial hand wash, body wash, shampoo etc in the property. We supply hand wash, washing up liquid, shampoo/shower gel and conditioner for you to use. We ask you to remove your shoes upon entering so you may want to bring your slippers. The property is detached, on a small non-working farm. Janine’s parents and ourselves live onsite so there is always someone around to assist if needed. Dogs are allowed in all rooms and on furniture and beds. We provide throws for the sofa but ask that you bring your own king size duvet cover. There are sheep in the field opposite, to the left. Please ensure your dog is on the lead when outside of Higher Dux's secure garden. There is a private woodland and meadow walk that you are welcome to use (if you have children we ask that you do not do the last bit of the walk through the pod meadow as it is adult only) For any guests attending a local wedding, you may be asked to provide £150 refundable security deposit. This will be returned to the guests on inspection of the property.
