While bikinis are permitted only at designated tourist beaches or private resort islands, our residential neighborhood offers the unique experience of staying among locals. Situated in Hulhumale, our prime location puts you just steps from pristine beaches, lively markets, dining hotspots, and cultural attractions - all while being tucked away in a tranquil neighborhood. The famous tourist beach is just a 5-minute bike ride away. Can you assist with transfers and rentals? Absolutely! We're happy to arrange affordable airport transfers as well as bike rentals for easy exploration of the area. Our staff is always available to provide local tips and recommendations. What are the dining options? Take advantage of the fully-equipped kitchen to prepare meals with fresh, local ingredients from nearby markets. Numerous affordable cafes and restaurants are also within walking distance, with options from $5 buffet breakfasts to $10 per person for a hearty meal out. Weather: The Maldives enjoys a warm, tropical climate year-round with average temperatures of 29-31°C. The drier season from January-April has lower humidity, while May-December has an increased chance of brief rain showers. However, even during the "wet" months, sunny periods are frequent, making it a year-round destination. Money/Banking: Major credit/debit cards are widely accepted at ATMs, shops, and restaurants. USD and Euros can be easily exchanged, with money transfer services like Western Union also available. For other currencies, use banks or exchanges at the airport or in Malé/Hulhumalé. Payment Details: If you book through the platform, you do not need to pay anything upon check-in as we receive the payment directly from them. Drinking Water: The tap water is safe to drink after boiling as per WHO standards. However, our home provides the option of an under-sink RO filter for purified drinking water from the tap. We can also arrange delivery of bottled distilled/mineral water if preferred (charges may apply).
