Bluebell Retreat Exclusive Site Hire - pods & hut

Located at the foot of the Malvern Hills, Worcestershire this hidden idyllic retreat offers exclusive site hire for your group. Relax around the nature pond in the meadow and you’re likely to see beautiful dragonflies and a variety of resident wildlife. BBQ time? Why not sit around the fire pit, toast marshmallows & watch the sun go down. Or chill on a comfy sofa in the large wooden gazebo in the meadow. The sites location ideally situated for Hill Walking, Foraging, Wild Swims & Fishing. The space Only 3 miles from the Malvern Hills the site is set privately amongst a meadow and small woodland with central small nature pond surrounded by Christmas tree woodland, fields & farmland. We have no immediate neighbours other than our fellow wildlife and fishing men at the lakes next door. The site accommodation consists of 4 individual 2 berth units comprising of 3 little handcrafted pods facing the nature pond and one little shepherd hut in the wood. Separate kitchenette/slate showers and toilets. Large wooden gazebo set in the meadow for guests to relax in with garden sofa chairs for 8 and lighting. All accommodation units are complete with snuggly beds with bedding, coffee & tea facilities (bottle of water & milk) tv and mini fridge, fan, towel per person, heater, mirror & umbrellas. In addition bistro seating, decking, picnic benches, wooden seating for 8 with parasol, bbq's/utensils. Sleepy Hollow twin bed can be converted to a double if required. The Shepherd hut for two adults also has free-view tv, microwave, fridge, tea/coffee facilities and heater. Its luxury upholstered double bench seats with a central dining table easily transforms into a firm double bed by night. (4ft 6″ x 6ft). It has a large decked area with bistro seating & bbq provided. The little blue kitchenette in the woodland houses a washing up area, freestanding fridge with small freezer box, toaster, microwave, 2 ring hotplate with small oven/grill. Cutlery, plates and cups are provided for 8 guests, washing up liquid, sponge and tea-towel. Two slate tiled showers and posh loos are also within this unit. Two toilets, mirrors, hand-towels and liquid soap & shower gel provided. Toilet roll provided. There is an additional outdoor washing up area with hot and cold water, washing up liquid & tea towel. The ground can be a little uneven so may not be suitable for all. The pods are on one level, shepherd hut up a few steps to raised decking. Guest access The 3.5 acre site which is yours for your stay comprises of a meadow, nature pond, woodland and onsite parking. Space to relax, either be it around the nature pond or in the gazebo, seating in the woods by the kitchenette too! Theres an area on the meadow to play games even bring your badminton net! To access the site you drive down a single track lane and left into Bluebell Cottage's driveway. Drive through the wooden gate to the left where you then see a carpark to your right. This is your private off-road carpark. Follow the wood chipped paths to the kitchenette, 4 separate accommodation units, large meadow with seating and large gazebo. There is access through the meadows gate to acres of christmas tree woodland, fishing lakes and glorious walks. Bring your rod & pay £8 for the day on one of the 3 lakes. The 3 fenced lakes are for carp fishermen only. An amazing safe space for families and friends to enjoy a few days amongst nature. Why not set a few games up on the meadow or chill out around the pond - you’ll see beautiful blue and green dragon flies! Other things to note The booking is for a maximum of 8 adults, no individual bookings taken or bookings of more than 8 allowed. The site can certainly be booked for less guests - maybe you’d like an accommodation unit each. Two little dog are allowed (up to 12kg) one in Sleepy Hollow Pod & one in Conker Cabin Pod. They must be kept on their lead around the site, not to enter the nature pond or be left unattended in any of the accommodation. Please chat to Deb & Ian if dogs are a little larger. The fire-pit will be ready for you to light on your first night with some additional logs for a few hours burning. Please bring extra logs should you wish to use the fire-pit for lengthy periods and extra evenings. We do hold a small stock of logs if you do wish to purchase @ £15 for 12.5kg bag with starter pack. BBQ charcoal is not provided for BBQs, utensils are. No open fires allowed. The Burrow pod has a king sleigh bed. Sleepy Hollow pod has a twin bed. Conker Cabin pod a double bed. The Shepherd Hut has a double bed (4ft 6 x 6ft) The kitchenette is fully equipped with utensils, bowls, cups, plates and glasses. Washing liquid, tea towels - all the basics. Please be mindful there is limited storage space. One large drawer for items and a fridge with 2 tier shelf for chilled items. It may be advisable not to double up on food items. Fishing lakes next door, pay around £8 for the day - bring your fishing gear. Wild Swimming option located within 5-10 minutes from site - ‘Escape to the Lake’ & booking is required. ‘The Fold’ which is 5 minutes by car has a vegan cafe, nature trails and the option to take a dip in the river Teme. Guests are welcome to view our WWII bunker which we unearthed early 2024.
