Welcome to our beautiful apartment in historic DC! Located in the friendly neighborhood of Eckington, it's just a 10 minute ride to the U.S. Capitol, Union Market, or your favorite museum, and around the corner from great restaurants, cafes and parks. We offer parking! And with comfy beds, a full kitchen, and everything from a large TV to a pack-and-play, you'll be well-rested for a day of sight-seeing. Plus, we live in the separate unit upstairs and are happy to help if you need anything! The space Situated just minutes from all the key sites of the city but tucked into a residential corner, our garden-level/English basement apartment features: - two-bedrooms (with a queen and a full bed) - pull-out full size sofa bed - private front and back entrances - top-of-the-line LG appliances and Crate & Barrel furniture - full kitchen and kitchenware - a walk-in closet - lightening-fast Wifi with a dedicated workspace - washer and dryer - 54in Samsung HDTV with Apple TV and all streaming services - unique white oak hardwood flooring - and thoughtful design elements throughout the apartment. It also includes special touches that will make your stay as comfortable as possible: - keyless entry - memory foam mattresses - black-out curtains - extra blankets - a white noise machine - motion sensor outdoor lights - coffee/tea/creamer - extra toiletries - detergent and dryer sheets for in-unit laundry - luggage racks - hangers - and a play pack and high-chair for children! We are also walking distance from multiple cafes, restaurants, bars, gyms, parks/playgrounds and so much more! Guest access Guests have private access to the garden-level/English basement apartment via a keypad at the front lower level door. A code will be sent to you 24 hours prior to check-in. Other things to note The stairs leading to the main house are blocked, and the apartment is a fully private space. However, we do live in the main house above the apartment, and you may occasionally hear our family or our Golden Retriever :) The apartment is not suitable for parties or large gatherings of any kind. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. We will ask you to leave if you are in possession of any illegal substances. The apartment is only suitable for 3 to 4 people, including a sofa bed in the living room that can sleep 1 adult. We are happy to provide a parking pass during your stay for street parking. The apartment has private, separate entrances in both the front and back. Both entrances require the use of stairs. Check-out is at 11:00 am.
