Le Perché-sur-la-Rivière is a charming log cabin, circa 1962, fully restored, facing south. Literally perched on the water. Sunbathing veranda, meals, bedtime. Giant trees, 45 minutes from Montreal. Bright, peaceful. Pedestrian and cycling footbridge to shops, restaurants and woodland. Bicycle path at the gate. For rest, teleworking, creation, outdoors. --BBQ on site -- Hiking and cross-country skiing in the area The space Our little Perché-sur-la-Rivière is a loft-style cottage located directly on the bank. Its huge old-fashioned school windows make the river a full-fledged occupant. Its 56 years of history make it unique. The former owner renovated the place little by little over three years in the spirit of simplicity, comfort, pleasure and laying back and relaxing (or teleworking!): AMENITIES: - Queen size bed on a podium with soft bedding (winter or summer, depending on the season). -Various types of pillows to suit different tastes. - 1 single foam mattress stowed under the bed. - Also, in summer, double futon bed on the veranda to sleep outside). - Lunch counter. - Leaf table for eating or playing (or working if the incredible view of the river doesn't distract you too much...). - Fully equipped kitchenette (real oven + microwave; coffee, spices). - Bathroom with large shower. - Internet with unlimited downloading; easy teleworking. -Screen 32"+ ChromeCast (GoogleHome). - Board games, books, and magazines. -Cards and brochures on the Lanaudière region. -Excellent speakers (to be connected to your device). - Spectacular veranda with dining area and futon bed, all with mosquito nets. Want to completely disconnect? We unplug the internet and you're in a bubble. Otherwise, the internet is very good. We live on the same huge lot and can therefore quickly answer your needs or questions, with respect for your privacy. The Perché-sur-la-Rivière is not lost in the woods, but it is magically located: thanks to the giant trees, as soon as you enter it, you only have the river and the greenery as neighbors. Bring your water shoes to walk on the river, if you rent in the summer. IN SUMMER: -River directly under the cabin. - Swimming in the river, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, sliding down on inflatable. Lovely water! -Private sandy cove under the cabin: great for dipping your feet, having tea or an aperitif, escaping the heat wave, using a hammock, watching baby fish. -River bottom has huge pebbles, no mud, and therefore you can "walk on the river" pleasantly in summer, when the water is very low, up to an island located not far away. -Great footbridge for sunrise or sunset. -Paths, wooded areas and bike path next door. ----Is it raining, is it wet? Don't worry: the veranda with roof and mosquito net allows you to be outside, eat, cuddle and even sleep there. IN WINTER: - Sunbathe on the veranda. -Ecological forest with trails across the river (200 m). -Cross-country skiing 2.5 km away. -Alpine ski in Rawdon (about 30 minutes away) or St-Côme (about 50 minutes away). - Racket at 1.5 km. - Walk on the icy river, upstream. - Lay back and relax. - Telecommuting! Parking: Once you have almost reached the end of Avenue Des Clercs, turn onto Rue Rosa on the right and you will see a WHITE arch on your left: park in this small parking lot, as far to the right as possible. The chalet is the one you see in the arch, about 50 meters away. Please note that the parking lot and arch are approximately 50 meters from the chalet. You have to walk this distance. Other things to note It's a little cabin with history and the former owner put a lot of heart into the restoration. Guest's respect for the property is therefore immensely appreciated. Please follow the instructions before leaving. It should be noted that the cottage is about 50 meters from the parking lot. This distance must be covered on foot. This is to be considered when renting the chalet by guests. Please note that driving your car on the grounds to the cottage is strictly forbidden.
