Hostal Iris

The house is located in the historic center of the city of Santiago de Cuba, 5 blocks from Parque Céspedes. It has a very cozy colonial style with a courtyard that traps you in a romantic atmosphere and in contact with nature due to the diversity of plants and its decoration. My husband, also the owner of the house, was a professor of Mathematics at the University of Oriente. He unfortunately died a year ago. We started renting together 9 years ago in order to occupy the free time that our retirement had left us. It is a house with colonial architecture built in 1930 combining elements of masonry and wood, zinc tile roofs, mosaic floors and wooden carpentry. Composed of an open-air porch, living room, kitchen-dining room, three bathrooms, four bedrooms of which two are for rent, a semi-roofed patio with planters with a size of 162.66 m2 and a free area of 4.70 m2. It is called Hostal Iris in honor and complacency of the owners of the house. The house was bought with much sacrifice by Iris's parents with the aim that both she and her brother would have a safe roof in the future. It maintains the characteristics of the initial construction with some adaptations for a better comfort of its inhabitants and tenants. Guest access The key to the house is given to the client so that he can leave or enter it whenever he deems it convenient. If you are interested in receiving dance lessons, we look for experienced teachers who have already done this work on other occasions. Spanish classes are given if the client wishes with experienced teachers. Taxi service is provided if you wish to travel in and out of the city.
