Beautiful large beach front home at Botany Bay
Description
Make memories at this unique family-friendly home. A magical house, great for spending fun & relaxing time with family and friends. Over looking the beach you'll wake up to the sound of waves. With its own large pool and garden you can spend your days on the beach, in the pool, playing golf at North Foreland next door, skateboarding, walking or cycling to the nearby towns of Broadstairs and Margate. It is a house to remember for all the right reasons. We hope you love it as much as we do. The space Brief history of The Little House at Botany Bay: Built at the start of the 20th century, The Little House became the home to a Doctor that looked after a young Prince who lived next door. Today it is just a lovely family home that was extended a few years back to make it a large 'little house' with a pool and garden 'Little Little house!' The home is accessed off a small private gravel road that is home to three beachfront properties. Our home has parking for four cars comfortably - six at a push. Downstairs: A spacious entrance hall leads onto a... Reading room/bedroom - a peaceful reading room over looking the seafront, that can quickly convert to a double bedroom. This is Ella's favourite room, mainly because of the stylish hand made armchair. Please don't let the dogs on it or she might just cry ;o). Family/TV room - a cozy family room where our kids and their friends love to watch movies. Kitchen lounge - this room genuinely stopped us in our tracks when we first came to see the house. It is so much more open and spacious than we imagined - a genuine family, party, wow space. Cloak, utility room, toilet and wet room - entered through a secret cupboard off the kitchen, you will find the cloak and utility room that includes a washing and drying machine, dishwasher, sink and cupboards for things like towels and essentials. You will also find access to the toilet and shower/wet room that opens out to the side of the house and access to the beach and pool. Garden: Patio - leading off the kitchen lounge you have the large patio area that creates an inside/outside living space when the patio doors are opened up. On the patio you will find a dining table for eight, along with a large L/U shaped sofa and table and BBQ. It's a perfect space for outdoor entertainment, sunbathing after the pool and having a glass of wine. The garden is a sun trap, so even if it is a little breezy by the sea the garden always stays lovely when the sun is shining. Swimming pool - the pool can be used to do lengths, or if you are more like us, tends to be the kids home from home! We don't have a fence round it, so we always tell our kids and their friends they are not allowed in without an adult present. It usually warms up from Mid May as the heater works with the weather. We cannot guarantee it will be warm if the outside temperature is 10 degrees or below. Lawn area - The garden is the perfect size for kicking a ball around, playing catch, croquet, bowls or whatever takes your fancy. There's a little seating area by the pool house at the back too. The Little Little House - to the back right of the garden, you will find our Little Little House. Our kids love this house and tend to make it their own in the summer, watching movies on laptops and filling it with toys as they camp out. You will also find in this house the cushions for the outdoor sofa by the pool. Pool Pump room - at the back of the garden on the left you will find the pump room that we will lock off to you. Dan, the lovely guy that helps us with the pool will be round to look after the pool, so you don't need to worry on that front. Bikes - linked to the pump house you will find where we keep the bikes. Upstairs: Master bedroom - the main bedroom overlooks the sea, and every time you draw the curtains in the morning you will just want to lie there and look out the bay windows to the beach and sea. It is a wonderfully peaceful open plan room with a toilet and big bath. Off the bathroom area you also have access to the wonderful roof terrace too. The Pink Room - the first room on the right upper the stairs is a double bedroom with views of the sea that couples or our parents love to stay in. Opposite the room there's the toilet shower room on one side and access to the balcony that over looks the sea too. The perfect area for a coffee and good book. The Blue Room - designed by us, but crafted by our brother in law who is a master carpenter, the bedroom features an integrated double bed with single above it, hidden behind a wave. The room overlooks the pool and garden behind, and has it's own ensuite toilet and shower. The Green Room - Similarly designed and built as the Blue room, we got braver still after seeing the Blue Room. This one features an integrated desk and shelves, double and two single beds, above what some have described as the green wave or castle room. It too overlooks the pool and has an ensuite. This room has a bath and shower combined and along with the Blue Room, is our kids favourite. Probably Sam's too if he is honest! Dressing area - in between the Main bedroom, Blue and Green rooms there's a dressing area. Balcony - off the main landing you will find the front balcony that over looks the sea. Armed with a coffee or hot chocolate, this is the most wonderful place to read a book or look out to sea with the binoculars. Roof terrace - leading off the main bedroom/bathroom you will find access to a lower terrace that overlooks the pool. Climb the spiral iron staircase and you will find the roof terrace with breathtaking views over Botany Bay. Whatever happens you have to grab a glass of something, go up there and take it in with a big smile. That's what we do anyway. One day we will get round to putting a hot tub up there, but for now we sometimes take up chairs, but more than most, we just stand there grinning with friends. Like the pool - please make sure kids are with an adult if they go up there too. Guest access You will have access to everything except the pool pump room. Please feel free to use the bikes and pool inflatables too. All we ask is that if you do use the Honesty bar in the lounge, or obviously damage anything, please just let us know, or mark it down in the honesty box so we can replenish supplies etc. Other things to note The Honesty Bar - help yourself to drinks and any supplies that are in the cupboards. Please just let us know what you consumed via the honesty book. The key to the house - will be made known to you on confirmation of booking etc. The pool usually warms up from mid May and we keep it on through to September. We cannot guarantee it will be warm if the outside temperature is below 10 degrees.
