Walk to many awesome restaurants and quaint cafes, picturesque parks and boutique shops all right on your doorstep surrounding this charming 200 year old town. Make your way inside this historic 150 year old converted farmhouse and be greeted with a spacious open plan living/dining area. Here you can sit back on the plush sofas and stream all your favorites on the Smart TV loaded with Netflix, Hulu and HBO to keep you entertained. The living area also doubles as a second sleeping space with a comfortable pull out queen sofa bed for an additional two guests. The cozy kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you could need including a small oven, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a coffee maker along with all the cookware, dinnerware and plenty of utensils. Enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast sitting up at the café style dining table with seating for four or use this space to catch up on any work or study with free Wi-Fi included with your stay. The open bedroom features a large queen bed that is divided off from living space by a stylish reclaimed glass partition (100 years old) . Families can also make use of the beautiful wooden crib if needed for the little ones. Wash up in the bathroom that offers a large walk-in shower stocked with quality amenities and a vanity with plenty of soft, fluffy towels for each guest. Sliding barn door is original to the home and is over 130 years old! OTHER THINGS TO NOTE Guests are welcome to bring their potty trained and non-aggressive dog along for free. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS We strive to make sure your time at the bungalow is relaxing and enjoyable and are always available by phone during your stay if there are any questions or for any recommendations on what to do and see in the area. GETTING AROUND The best way to get around is by car with free parking included during your stay or on foot with the city right on your doorstep. Guests can also use a taxi service or use a rideshare app like Uber with plenty of cars at any time of the day. NEIGHBORHOOD The bungalow is located right in the heart of historic Germantown where you’ll be steps from everything the city has to offer and only 20 minutes from great shopping in Miamisburg and 25 minutes from Dayton. Eat out at one of the many restaurants and cafes nearby including Laffs bar (FAMILY FRIENDLY AND GREAT WINGS) and grill just two doors down and Dons Pizza (GREAT PIZZA) 6 doors that both offer delicious food for when you feel like a night out then catch a show at the By-Jo Theatre - a must see for anyone who remembers or would love to know what theaters were like before the attack of the Mega Cineplex. From the Bungalow visit all the historic buildings from the Florentine Hotel/Restaurant (EVERYTHING IS INCREDIBLE) that is considered the second oldest Inn in Ohio to the Fire Engine House and the iconic Covered Bridge believed to be the only one of its kind in the United States. If you’re visiting from June through August take a refreshing dip in the Olympic-size pool at the Aquatic Center (5 MINUTE WALK) with a diving board and two winding water slides. Nature lovers can take a stroll through the picturesque Kercher Park (5 MINUTE DRIVE ) that offers facilities for facilities for little league baseball, softball, soccer, pee wee football, tennis and basketball. You’ll also find the Twin Creek Bike/Walking Path, picnic shelters, and playground equipment as well as a full Disc Golf course that meanders through the woods. To take yourself on a tour of the city, there is a 2.7 mile self-guided tour that take you through 31 historic buildings and landmarks located throughout Germantown with pamphlets available on five signposts along the tour route.
