This family-friendly 3 bedroom 2 bath retreat includes two free aquarium passes! Lush and private fenced backyard with chickens and ducks. Comfy beds with fresh cotton linens. Cozy living room with leather couches. Netflix, Hulu, Disney, Amazon Prime Video Keurig coffee, farm-fresh eggs, oatmeal and hot cocoa A dining table that seats 9 and a fully stocked kitchen Blueair Air Purifier 1 block from a grocery store Contact-free keypad check-in The space This bright and clean coastal cottage on the Monterey peninsula comfortably sleeps 9 and features a lovely enclosed backyard with ducks, chickens, veggies and flowers. * This is not a home share - you and your guests will have the property completely to yourselves. * Your stay includes 2 guest passes for the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which can be used multiple days during your visit! Our living room has a new addition - a baby grand piano that you are welcome to play! The living room also has two leather couches and a TV with Netflix, Disney+, Hulu and Prime video. The primary bedroom features a memory foam king bed, desk, dresser and an attached bathroom with a stall shower. The first back bedroom (white walls) has two super comfortable memory foam full beds. The second back bedroom has two twin beds (one with a memory foam topper) and an adult-sized memory foam cot. Each bedroom has room-darkening curtains. For smaller groups, the cot and second twin can be stored away to maximize floor space. Our hall closet is stocked with games and puzzles and the back white-walled bedroom has an assortment of books and toys available for your use. We have a newer pack n play and high chair available for our guests with infants — let us know if you’d like us to set them up for your group! The kitchen is stocked with oils, vinegars and spices, along with a microwave, pressure cooker, Vitamix blender, Kitchen-aid mixer, toaster, air fryer, pasta maker and any cookware you might need to whip up a fresh meal. We leave unopened condiments and some canned food in the pantry for your use. You’ll also find cookie cutters, sprinkles and other baking accessories in the pantry. The coffee bar features a Keurig stocked with coffee pods, along with creamers, sugar, hot cocoa and oatmeal. We also provide a drip coffee pot. Our ducks and chickens lay eggs from February - October, so if you book during those months we’ll leave fresh eggs for you in the fridge! (The duck eggs are especially good in cakes) Our private fenced backyard has an outdoor table and chairs with a large umbrella providing shade, a grassy space for playing, climbing roses, dozens of varieties of flowers and planter boxes filled with veggies. Feel free to visit our feathered friends in the back and toss them lettuce treats from the garden, but please do not release them from their coops. The greenhouse and garage are locked, but every other area is accessible. The family bath has a tub/shower and a marble double vanity, with a stool to help children reach the sink. A Blueair large area air purifier helps to keep the air in our home fresh and clean. You’ll be close to shops, grocery stores and restaurants, but the home and backyard are much quieter than you might expect given the central location. We can usually accommodate early check-ins — send us a message when you place your reservation if that’s something you’d like! We love the Monterey peninsula and have put tons of love and work into this home over the past eight years. We cannot wait to host you. Guest access There are three parking spots in our driveway, as well as ample free street parking during the day. In the evening, street parking may become harder to find. Our home is minutes from highway one and 25 minutes from Marina/Seaside, 30 minutes from Monterey and 30 minutes from Carmel Valley/Carmel if you travel via Highway 68 and Laureles Grade. Other things to note We have a Ring doorbell at the main entrance facing out towards the street, and a second Ring doorbell facing the street from the back gate. For stays longer than three days, a caretaker will visit the backyard to feed the animals and water the garden. We’re happy to schedule this work for a time when your group will be away from the house.
