Description
This is the ultimate Ranch stay! Beautifully designed and appointed Barndominium formerly the owner's home at Hurricane Creek Ranch. Located on 285 private acres with miles of hiking and riding trails (bring your horses) there are deer, turkey, fox, coyotes, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, possums, armadillos, songbirds, owls, and hawks. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, fireplace, laundry room, and fully outfitted kitchen. Adjoining Cedars of Lebanon State Park. Star gazing is amazing here. The space This lovely 3-bedroom barndominium is a carefully designed home attached directly to one of the horse barns at Hurricane Creek Ranch. This home is very well-appointed, recently remodeled, and spotlessly clean. Located on 285 acres, overlooking rolling pastures, everything you could want for your adventures and home away from home. The spacious kitchen is well stocked making meals easy to prepare. The space has its own washer and dryer, fireplace, TVs, fast, dependable Wifi, and coffee bar. The decks both upstairs and down have sitting areas with french doors leading out to them. In good weather, your group can gather to dine out in front of the home or sit on the decks and watch wildlife and our horses move about the ranch. If you bring your horses, it is so convenient to have them just below the residence in our enclosed 8-stall barn. There is something wonderful about walking thru an attached barn to visit horses just before turning in for the night. Hurricane Creek Ranch was established in 2000 as a working horse and cattle ranch. It adjoins Cedars of Lebanon State Park and Forest adding a whole collection of things to do within five minutes of your location. At the State Park, there are playgrounds, picnic areas, frisbee golf, a large splash pad, well-marked hiking trails, a cave, plus ranger-led tours which are open to the public. Many events are held at the park including weddings, celebrations and family reunions. There is also a heritage farm to tour near the entrance of the park and a giant flea market across from the entrance of the park on warm weather weekends. The area near the house and barns has two small ponds and lots of wildflowers in the Springs. The owners of Hurricane Creek Ranch live in the primary home at the top of the hills here on the ranch. There is always someone to assist, with our co-host living on another ranch nearby. This home is close to the Fairgrounds (10 miles) and events venues in Lebanon, 5 miles from Legacy Farms Wedding venue, 5 miles to Wild Turkey Ranch, and Like-A-Zoo venues and about 16 miles from the north border of Murfreesboro. It's an easy 31-mile drive to Nashville. Our guests can enjoy events in Nashville and then relax and unwind back in the peace and affordable solitude of our ranch. Several times a year Hurricane Creek Ranch hosts excellent equine riding clinics for different disciplines with well-known clinicians from across America. The events are posted on our ranch social media page. Participants bring their own horses to these events and can book our Airbnb plus horse stalls for each of the events. When there isn't a clinic, our horse-owning guests can bring their horses when they stay and pay a separate fee for nightly stalls allowing them to ride the miles of pasture and forest trails that cover our 285 acres. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer horseback riding for our guests who don't have their own horses. There are two entrances to this home. You can enter on the curved rock pathway and up on the front deck and into the living room, or thru the back entry, coming thru the barn and laundry room. We ask that guests remove their boots or shoes to keep the brand-new carpet clean. There are clothes to wipe your dog's feet in the laundry room cabinet in the event of wet or muddy feet. Guest access The entire barndominion is reserved just for you. It is VERY important to put in a correct guest count to see correct pricing. Our nightly price is quoted for double occupancy or 2 people. Just as hotels charge, there is an additional charge here of $25 per night for each additional guest after the first two. Other things to note ****Please note, We like to know that the people who are staying with us are verified by Airbnb! Out of an abundance of caution, we DO NOT accept 3rd party bookings that are not disclosed in the reservation request and are individually pre-approved by our team. If you are not one of the guests that will be staying during the reservation you are requesting, please share that and explain what situation created the need for the 3rd party booking in detail in your inquiry. We will require names, cell phone numbers, and identification of the individuals staying for all third-party reservations and will only accept these on rarest occasions.**** 1. Small children must be supervised when outside at the ranch, there are lots of interesting things that could become dangerous if kids are left alone outside, including two ponds that are not fenced, plus large animals on the ranch. The Hurricane Creek Ranch rule is "If children are outside, parents should be too. If parents are outside, children should be too." 2. Because of the cost of liability insurance we are not able to invite our guests to ride our horses. Guests may bring their own horses and rent stalls for them during their stay. We also have RV or horse trailer hookups in case you’d like to invite more friends to join you. Pricing is quoted for double occupancy (the first two guests). There is an additional reservation fee for each guest after two. 3. Visiting dogs MUST BE PLACED in kennels if left unattended in this Airbnb. Couches and love seats must be covered if your reservation includes your dogs. The covers are in the closet beside the stairway. 4. Please remember this is a working ranch. We share the farm with nature's native occupants, including unique moths, fireflies, butterflies, mosquitos, carpenter bees, honey bees, lawn gnats, ladybugs, flies, ants, and many, many other insects. When the doors are opened and closed, some of these always find their way inside. Some can and do bite humans, so we encourage you to bring bug spray and use it if that is a concern, and to celebrate the crickets, katydids, and songbirds' symphonies which you aren't likely to hear in a city environment. If you aren't comfortable with this, Hurricane Creek Ranch probably isn't your best Airbnb choice and we certainly understand. 5. No ATVs, Quads, 4-wheel drive trucks, motorcycles, motorized dirt bikes, or any other kind of motorized vehicles are permitted off-road on this ranch. 6. No hunting of any kind is permitted and guests are not allowed to bring firearms or bows to the property. 7. Guests and their kids are not allowed in the equipment barn or to climb on tractors or farm implements. 8. Pricing is quoted for double occupancy or 2 people. Just as hotels charge, there is an additional charge here of $25 per night for each additional guest after the first two.
