Watch swift hands weave fish nets and craft stips of bamboo to form lobster traps. The Chic Chateau is surrounded by fields and forests, with aqua waters on the horizon. Neighbors are distant. Nights are punctuated by sounds of drumming high in the mountains and roosters are always on duty! Arriving in your private vehicle, from Jacmel head east towards Marigot. After Cayes Jacmel pass Kabik and leave the highway at Petavi, turning left at the Chic Chateau sign and follow the gravel road about 500 meters to the chateau. From down town Port-au-Prince there are regular public transportation mini buses offering service to Jacmel. Superior service is offered by La Source a private bus company. Arrangements can be made for private onward transportation to Petavi. Arrangements can be made for a chauffeur and car to pick you up in Port au Prince and bring you to Chic Chateau. Once at Chic Chateau local moto taxis (small scooter like motorcycles) offer rides anywhere you want to go. A phone call to Cloris and about a buck will get you to the beach!
