Prior to 1/1/25 there will also be a twin in 2nd bdrm, sleeping 5 Situated on 10 acres on a quiet road in Barnet, VT, our home is a very peaceful VT retreat. Enjoy the open yard, firepit, or head up the road to the public beach at Harvey's Lake (7 minute ride), there's no shortage of great outdoor activities. St. Johnsbury and Danville with it’s historic green are both about 20 minutes away. *AC units in bedrooms only, no 1st floor AC The space There are two bedrooms upstairs, one with a king bed and one with a queen bed one twin and two cribs (crib sheets not provided, crib mattresses are universal size). The downstairs is an open layout with a large couch in front of the woodstove, a desk and workspace, and great kitchen for cooking, and a dining table that seats 6. The front porch has a dining table that seats 4 and two rockers that are great for enjoying your morning coffee or a drink in the evening. There is also a firepit in the yard with 4 plastic adirondacks and a bench that can seat 2. We love enjoying the stars at night, around the fire. Please note that while you cannot see the neighbors, noise does travel in the area. We ask that you please keep noise down in the late evenings hours to not disturb the neighbors. There is a Peloton bike in the master bedroom, guests are free to use it if they would like, though you do need your own account. Shoes are not provided. If you have a Peloton account is very easy to login/register the bike to your account (your other bike would be kicked out while you are logged in on this one). Guest access Guests will have access to the whole property (10 acres) with a large open yard and surrounding woods. The basement and garage will be locked, guests will not have access to these areas. Other things to note Internet - we have Starlink internet which typically allows for very good streaming and video calling. I frequently work from home and sit on video calls. Very infrequently, when there is bad weather, video calling can get choppy. TV - we have a smart TV in the downstairs living space that has netflix, but no other streaming services nor cable. If you have streaming services you can certainly use them on the TV during your stay. Air conditioning - There are floor/rolling AC units in both bedrooms upstairs, but there is not any AC on the first floor. The first floor stays quite cool with the windows open, even on a hot summer day. We do keep fans on the first floor to move the air, in case you prefer that. While the upstairs is usually comfortable in the evenings/night with the windows open, it can get hot so we provide the AC units for comfort. If you prefer the fresh air and no AC, the units are very easy to remove from the windows. There is an outdoor security camera that remains active during rentals.
