Cottage in Burdett

Tucked among the trees overlooking Seneca Lake and next to a glen, enjoy stunning lake and sunset views while falling asleep to the soothing sound of trickling water. The spacious private beach and boat dock are rare finds in the area. Wade in from the shore or jump into deeper water from the dock. Bring a boat or rent one from nearby marinas. Cook in the well-stocked kitchen or venture out to the many local restaurants, breweries, & wineries. The Seneca Lake wine trail begins just up the road. The space 2 Bedroom cottage with a lot of family history - originally built by my great uncle. Our cottage is the perfect getaway from the hustle a bustle of modern life. Surrounded by the lake on one side, a trickling creek on another, and trees on the other two, it's the perfect place for relaxing and taking in the nature around you. Guest access whole house, expansive beach and private dock Other things to note We recently added an air conditioner to the back living room, where the queen sized bed is. It does a nice job cooling the living room and kitchen on days when it is needed. We have not been able to figure out (yet) how to put a unit in the windows upstairs. But there are a ton of windows , both upstairs and downstairs that create a nice cross breeze most of the time. At night the windows on the east side typically have a cool wind coming down from the hills, even on hot days. When really hot, we find if you keep the windows upstairs shut and blinds/curtains closed in the day, then open everything up at night, it will be quite comfortable.
