Welcome to the Getaway Chalet—our chic retreat in the heart of the beautiful Pocono mountains! The Getaway Chalet is a 4 bed / 3 bath (8 adults max!!) chalet situated on over half an acre of pristine nature. It is as stylish as it is cozy & can offer both endless fun, and relaxing comfort. We designed our home as a place to make memories with our friends and family—and we're excited to share it so others may do the same!! Absolutely no animals due to family health. Thanks! The space The Getaway Chalet is a short drive from both NYC and Philly. It is located within an award-winning, amenity-rich Gold Star Certified community in close proximity to many attractions. Please no animals due to family health. Whether it’s hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, swimming, fishing, rafting, racing, or waterparks that brings you to the Poconos, the Getaway Chalet is the perfect homebase to explore the region. The home boasts 3 floors, enough room for 4 parked cars. Arriving by EV? Plug right in to the LEVEL 2 TESLA CHARGER & never worry about the battery running low in the mountains. The GROUND FLOOR is the FUN ZONE! -take in the great outdoors while roasting smores & telling ghost stories around our FIREPIT -cozy up beside the gas FIREPLACE on the plush modern sectional & stream your favorite service on the HUGE 85” SMART TV -face off on either the farmhouse-inspired AIR HOCKEY or POOL TABLES, or settle the score at the ARCADE, loaded with PAC-MAN and other classic games. -retire to the private Queen sized BEDROOM, with ground-level view of the natural surroundings, & adjacent FULL BATH with TUB. The SECOND FLOOR is for ENTERTAINING! -prepare meals in our DREAM KITCHEN—stainless steel appliances & white quartz countertops -saddle up at the four-seat BREAKFAST BAR, or stylish DINING ROOM TABLE that seats 8 -set the mood with the gas FIREPLACE & lounge after meals on the contemporary sectional -share meals outside on the enormous WRAPAROUND DECK with Weber GAS GRILL, outdoor sectional, & two OUTDOOR DINING tables (one of which is screened-in from the elements) -melt away your worries in the five-person HOT TUB -off the kitchen there are TWO BEDROOMS: a Queen sized bed for adults; & a kids room with 2 BUNK BEDS, SLIDE, & Nugget couch that can accommodate 5 children, with an adjacent full BATH with TUB. The THIRD FLOOR is for LIFESTYLE living! -need to take that ZOOM CALL, or simply want to WFH in comfort? The 3rd floor loft space has a spacious DEDICATED WORK SPACE & leather sofa (which converts to a bed) -stay disciplined in the serene YOGA ROOM with PELOTON bike for those of us who just can’t miss a class -sleep-in in the private primary BEDROOM with King sized bed, ensuite BATHROOM w/ shower, and PRIVATE BALCONY to experience nature from treetop heights. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property with the exception of 3 marked closets & outdoor shed. Besides the Chalet’s amenities, the private community where it is situated also boasts a ton of amenities & activities for all four seasons: -there are 3 freshwater LAKES with 2 private BEACHES -marina with FREE KAYAK RENTALS included with amenity pass -a community Clubhouse with OUTDOOR POOL, SPLASH PAD, BASKETBALL, NEW TENNIS & PICKLEBALL COURTS. -a community Recreation Center with FITNESS CENTER, SAUNA, INDOOR POOL -a natural wooded PARK with PICNIC AREA, HIKING, & SHUFFLEBOARD court NOTE: to enjoy the resort amenities, guests older than 7, must purchase bracelets at the Admin Office (day or weekly passes), or the Clubhouse (day passes only). Cost of passes per person for 2024: $8 weekdays / $10 weekend days; weekly passes are $30 / $50 for holiday weeks. Alternatively, guests may enjoy free amenities at the neighboring Gouldsboro State Park, which has hiking, picnicking, basketball courts, boat rentals and a wide beach on its beautiful lake. Other things to note Once booking is complete, a rental application will be emailed to you and must be submitted to the HOA at least 4 days before the check-in date. The fee is $50 per application, which is INCLUDED! Changes or bookings less than 4 days before check-in are subject to a $50 fee which will be the renter’s responsibility. $750 cleaning fine for smoking indoors.
