Spacious, bathed in light, this large traditional Norman house offers all contemporary comfort: underfloor heating on the ground floor and hot water radiators upstairs, optical fiber internet connection, 4K connected televisions, large American fridge, charging station for electric vehicles, etc. The space COMFORTABLE ACCOMMODATION FOR EIGHT PEOPLE Ground floor • A large living room with its two couches and fireplace • A fully-equipped kitchen opening onto the living room, with a large work surface • An large fridge, built-in oven and microwave, and dishwasher • A utility room with sink, washing machine and tumble dryer at your disposal • Separate guest restroom • A master suite with a king size bed (160x200), a large cupboard and a private shower room with marble sinks • 3 large sliding-door windows (kitchen, living room and ground floor master suite), each opening onto the terrace • South/south-west terrace and its large swimming pool. They offer magnificent views over the half-hectare garden and its hedgerows. At dawn or dusk, it's not unusual for deer to wander in. In the evening, summer and winter alike, the sunsets set the sky ablaze with splendid colours • A beautiful oak staircase with fitted wardrobes gives access to the first floor Upstairs 3 large bedrooms overlook the garden and the surrounding countryside : • A second vast master suite with its California king bed (180x200), tilt-and-turn window, large cupboard, private shower room and separate restroom • The cathedral ceiling of this suite allows you to admire the magnificent traditional oak roof structure • Two other bedrooms, each with 2 large twin beds (90x200), tilt-and-turn windows and a large wardrobe, share the 3rd bathroom and adjoining separate restroom A large heated swimming pool for exclusive use: • La Boisselière has a large private swimming pool, heated by heat pump from mid-May to September • The 11-metre pool is floodlit in the evening for comfortable swimming. • An electric submerged cover ensures the safety of the youngest children, and keeps the water warm at night • Automatic salt water treatment ensures hygiene and the absence of chlorine odours Traditional construction, respect for the landscape and the environment: Built in 2022 and 2023 by local craftsmen from the Pays d'Auge, La Boisselière is built entirely in the traditional way, using natural materials that respect the environment: • Genuine solid oak half-timbering • 20cm thick hemp and lime insulation between the half-timberings • Additional insulation using BIOFIB, a bio-sourced material made from flax, hemp and cotton • Slate roof with local decorative motifs • Mixed-wood windows and French doors, aluminium on the outside and oak on the inside Particular attention has been paid to the building's heat and sound insulation, which complies with RT2012 standards and guarantees excellent comfort in both summer and winter • Renewable energy: heating and domestic hot water production by heat pump • No air conditioning: ceiling fans in the living room and in each of the bedrooms Other things to note Cleaning costs are included (4 hours per week), as well as sheets and hand and bath towels (which will be changed weekly if you stay with us longer).
