 The space The Farmhouse is only 2 minutes drive to the closest of endless uncrowded beaches. Perfectly perched on a 50,000sqm block, you’ll have plenty of space and privacy at this property to get away from the hustle and bustle. The Farmhouse sleeps 6 with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The Farmhouse dates back 120 years and was originally a school at the turn of the 19th century. In the 70s it was a bohemian party house and in the 80s was host to famous movie directors. More recently, it was a biodynamic farm and family home growing flowers, vegetables and miniature cows. Now it’s a holiday home to be enjoyed by families and friends. There are no televisions in this house, so if you are in need of a tech-detox in a beautiful natural setting, then this is the place for you. The home has a private wharf on Warrell Creek to launch your kayak or SUP and explore kilometres of deep river that winds all the way to Nambucca and beyond. Bring your fishing rods, kayaks or SUPs for hours of fun and exploration. The gorgeous wrap-around farmhouse veranda is the perfect spot to relax, listen to the birds, watch the wildlife, or curl up with your favourite book on the outdoor lounge or hammocks. Luxuriate in nature in the outdoor bathtub set on the veranda overlooking the property. Children will have hours of fun exploring the property and swinging on the tree swings. The kitchen is the heart of the home with stunning timber windows opening out onto the veranda. Make and serve coffees each morning at the kitchen bar as you enjoy the dappled sunlight and birdlife in the surrounding trees. The open-plan kitchen and living areas create a lovely space for family or friends to relax and converse, all looking out to the tranquil bush setting. The master bedroom is spacious with a king-sized bed and has large original timber windows. You’ll be spoilt for choice with 6 beaches within 10 minute's drive, making this an ideal location for surfers or those who enjoy nature and the beach. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house and property. Other things to note Please be aware, the Farmhouse may have spiders and other critters visiting, as it is set on bushland. Please also be aware, the Farmhouse is connected to tank water, and the water pressure may not always be as strong as town water. No parties and no pets allowed. Scotts Head is famous for its tranquil beaches with excellent surfing, kite surfing, surfing SUPs and swimming. The pristine Main Beach has great surfing for the board and body-boarder and yet is suitable for children and those with less experience in the surf. There’s a surf school where you can get lessons and board hire. The ultra-light sand is perfect for sand modelling or just lazing around getting that tan, and there are also showers and toilets, picnic tables, barbecues and a children’s playground. The beach is patrolled from October to Easter. Scotts Head is part of the whale migratory route. The two headlands are great spots to watch dolphins and migrating humpback whales.
