We also welcome more than 16 guests: for groups of up to 20 people, we offer all 8 statthaus apartments as a package: this way you have the whole house exclusively to yourself, together with friends or family. Not all available dates may be visible online - please contact us for availabilities. All flats are turn-key and come with their own bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette, free WiFi, smart TV and intercom, so you are fully independent and explore Cologne from your own personal home base. The house with its neo-gothic façade was built around 1885. It is centrally located in Cologne's Gereonsviertel and is a listed building. We assume that it was originally the just 4.50 m wide extension next to a larger house with the same façade structure, which was left standing alone after the war. After extensive restoration in 2001/2002, the historic building now offers eight fully furnished flats of various layouts and sizes – within walking distance of the old town as well as the clubs and pubs in the Belgian Quarter. Each unit is individually furnished with antique furniture and functional modern equipment and has its own private bathroom and cooking facility - ideal for all who like to be independent. Rental is available through the pastoral office of St. Gereon - please contact us if you need it. Your flat key gives you access to the garbage disposal unit on the ground floor and the laundry room in the basement, where two coin-operated washing machines, a dryer and some detergent are at your disposal. My office on the ground floor is occupied only sporadically/by appointment. However, you can reach me via the airbnbApp or via phone anytime. Prime location right in the city centre of Cologne: Steinfelder Gasse is a quiet residential street in a very well-ordered and peaceful neighbourhood right next to the "Gereonsdriesch", a well-tended little park. Cologne's Old Town is within easy walking distance - as are the trendy pubs and clubs in the Belgian Quarter. Many international restaurants, bars and cafés as well as supermarkets, post office, banks, bakeries, dry cleaners and other shopping facilities are close by. For regional produce, check out the weekly farmer's markets on Rudolfplatz or next to St. Aposteln. The bars and clubs along the Koelner Ringe and the Belgian Quarter are perfect for a night out - after all, it's only a short walk back home. Clologne’s most popular shopping streets around the Neumarkt are also all within easy walking distance - the Neumarkt can be reached within 8 minutes. The underground stations "Friesenplatz", "Appellhofplatz" and "Christophstraße" are all within walking distance and there is a taxi stand at the park. The cathedral, the central station and many sights within the city centre can be reached within 10 minutes on foot. To the KoelnMesse exhibition centre it's only 15 min by tram. Parking is possible in front of the house most of the time (free of charge from 11pm - 9am and on Sundays). There are several public parking garages in the vicinity - please contact us for possible special conditions in the nearest parking garage. The total price of this booking includes V.A.T. as well as Cologne City Tax (5%). Like most of Cologne’s surviving historical buildings, the listed statthaus does not feature an elevator. Please note that the statthaus apartments are strictly non-smoking: smoking is not allowed anywhere in the whole house, not even at the open window. We kindly ask you to behave accordingly out of consideration for subsequent guests. We also expressly point out that smoking is not permitted in the staircase for fire safety reasons. In the apartments W3 and W8, guests may smoke on the balcony, and in W1 a small private courtyard is available for smoking.
