River-Front Wagon Glamping- The Chicory

Each wagon is located on the banks of Cape Fear River. Each has a King-sized bed and a bunkbed, electricity, air conditioning and heat! In addition, you'll find fast Wi-Fi access, coffee maker, fridge, and microwave in each wagon. Community bathhouse with toilets, sinks and showers is located in a standalone building on the property couple hundred feet away from wagons, and it's reserved just for our wagon glamping guests. Community firepit with beautiful stone patio and grilling area. The space The Cozy Heron Glamping resort is part of the Cape Fear River Adventures river activity center. The outfitter becomes very busy in the warmer months. You can expect to see lots of folks around the river if your stay occurs May-October. The Cozy Heron portion of the property has designated private areas for its guests, including the bath house. We know the importance of knowing before you go- we are located IN the town limits of Lillington, which means that traffic noises and seeing other people throughout the day are part of your experience here at The Cozy Heron. Traffic noise dies off in the evening and overnight, but we definitely are not in the middle of nowhere. Please note: Our property is located within the town limits of Lillington, and also near US Highways 210/421, which is now a busy, active roadway through the heart of Lillington. At times, you will hear traffic from the wagon site, including inside the canvas-topped glamping wagons. We’ve provided noise machines with Bluetooth capability to help minimize this. Traffic typically quiets down later in the evening, but we want to be transparent so guests know what to expect. The Cozy Heron Glamping property is not bordering the busy highway but the sound does carry and some guests have mentioned it. In our efforts to be completely transparent and make sure our guests are getting what they expect when glamping with us, we chose to clarify this information in further detail, up front. Guest access Hammocks and lawn are available for our guests' enjoyment. Stone patio, firepit, and grilling area are only for guests of the Cozy Heron. The bath house is only for guests of The Cozy Heron Glamping resort. Other things to note -Bed linens and towels are provided for our guests. -The wagons themselves do NOT have running water. We provide 4 bottles of water and you are more than welcome to refill these using the bathroom tap. You may absolutely bring your own reusable water bottle!
