Toddles Barn offers a stunning, recently converted rustic retreat just minutes away from the wonders of the Lake District. Located in the small, friendly village of Skelton, the property is surrounded by rolling countryside & the foothills of the northern Lake District fells. Toddles reveals its history without compromising on modern conveniences. This 17th century building has been upgraded to provide the highest levels of comfort while featuring original stone and woodwork. The space Toddles Barn is a 17th century barn attached to Church House. It was lovingly converted into its present form, preserving some of the original stone and timber work. The property was designed with bedrooms on the ground floor, and the living space on the first floor so that every guest can enjoy the incredible roof timbers upstairs. The master bedroom is en-suite, while a second double bedroom and third twin room share a large family bathroom complete with vaulted ceiling, skylight, free-standing bath and shower compartment. Overall the space is a lovely base for a short (or long) break with friends and family, offering a tasteful mix of rustic heritage and modern design. Guest access Guests have access to the full building. Other things to note Please note that Toddles Barn is located across the road from a working dairy farm, and this occasionally means there are associated sounds & smells. Most of our guests love this aspect of the property and the real country get-away vibe it creates, but if the sound of cows lowing or the occasional tractor revving its engine isn't to your taste then this might not be the ideal holiday home for you.
