The space Upon entering, you will feel relaxed and welcomed instantly. There are three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with two single beds. The bathroom features a spacious shower, a luxurious bathtub and plenty of hot water. The living area and sunroom each with a fireplace are ideal for families and allow for the kids to have one area whilst the adults can have their own. There is also a spacious fully fenced outside area. The self-sufficient open plan kitchen and dining room help create a homely feel. Wi-fi and a Smart TV is provided. The kitchen offers all that you could need to whip up your own gourmet delights from outstanding fresh local produce. Tasmanian winters are cold. Wombat Hollow has 2 fireplaces – 1 in the sunroom, the other in the loungeroom. Tower heaters are in every bedroom. There is ample private parking, including undercover parking for one vehicle. There are three bikes to enjoy the riding around the local area. Mountain bike lovers as Wild Mersey Mountain Bike Track is just few minutes away and horse-riding lovers as The Tasmania Trail is just a short stroll down the road from Wombat Hollow. Other things to note Reasons to stay in Sheffield: 1. Gateway to Cradle Mountain National Park. A scenic 50 mins from Wombat Hollow has you arriving at the Cradle Mountain Information Centre. You can access a range of spectacular walks. The National Park has WOMBATS, Paddymelons, Echidnas, Wallabies, and a range of birds. 2. Mole Creek. A beautiful 30 mins countryside drive through Gogg Range will take you to the town of Mole Creek. A full day can be spent exploring the Mole Creek Karst Caves (need to book by phoning 2 weeks prior), Trowunna Wildlife Park – great to see Devils feeding and Quolls (we recommend the 3pm tour), Honey Farm at Chudleigh and enjoy great food at Georgie’s Cafe at 41° South Tasmania Salmon Farm or the local pub at Mole Creek. 3. Latrobe. A 26 min drive through lovely countryside including Railton (Town of Topiary). Latrobe sits on the Mersey River which is great for kayaking and maybe spotting platypus along the river walk. Anvers chocolate factory is a must for a visitor to Latrobe– serving amazing food as well as offering a large range of chocolates. Reliquaire is a unique magical wonderland full of surprises and a must for a visit to Latrobe. There is also a great Thai restaurant called (Thai Imperial) and the Australian Axeman’s Hall of Fame.
