Manicou Cottage, Trafalgar

This cosy cottage survived Hurricane Maria in September 2017 totally intact. With extensive views over the Roseau valley, the cottage was voted #1 in the Minimalist Journey's Small House accommodation award in the Caribbean region- 2017. Charming nature lover/artist/hiker's retreat in the friendly village of Trafalgar within easy walking distance of Trafalgar Falls, hot mineral baths and the Roseau River. Ideal for single person or couple. The space Experience nature's peace and bounty, and/or local community culture in whatever measure suits you. Village shops and local cafes are close by. The cottage commands stunning views of the Roseau Valley and is situated on more than an acre of tropical gardens and natural food forest where coconuts, seasonal fruits and ground provisions thrive. Guests are encouraged to sample seasonal fresh fruits, vegetable and herbs from the garden Guest access Guests also have access to the spacious verandah of the main house, and to the track through 1.3 acres of tropical forest and garden which surrounds the property. Other things to note The built-in bed shown in the pictures is a small double. Kitchen facilities include fridge and triple burner burner table top stove that can be set up out on the verandah or inside if guests prefer. Although there is a booster in place , The WiFi signal at the cottage works well with most devices but may be weaker when inside. Guests are welcome use the table, chairs and hammock at the main house verandah where the signal is strong.
