Dragonfly Glade Goat Farm (w/ pond & no pet fees!)

Escape to the mountains to a peaceful farm setting and a cozy cabin all to yourself...with goats and a pond! (All fish except trout are catch and release only :) Bring your fishing poles and tackle! Mountain peaks, apple orchards, wine vineyards and cute mountain towns all just minutes away! Lots of hiking trails nearby! If you want to experience the beautiful North Ga. mountains, and love the sights and sounds of a farm, this is the place! Our little farm and goats love to be enjoyed! The space AT&T and Verizon cell service works pretty well in the house, but for T-Mobile or some others you may need to use the Wifi for wifi calling. We do have wifi as well as TVs in the master and living room with Amazon firesticks. We have room for two in the master downstairs, two upstairs on the queen bed, and there is room for one small person on the pull out upstairs in the common area. Guest access There is a beautiful firepit with some roasting sticks that are on the shed porch near the firepit. Trout are available until apprx late spring due to limited quantities and the heat in the summer. Please feel free to keep them. Catfish are catch and release only. Bring your own poles and supplies. You will have the entire home and (almost 4 acres!) property to yourself including the pond. Our property is fenced, so anything outside the fence is not our property. Also, our goats are fed by the caretaker. You will probably never know they are there, but if you don't want them to come by and you prefer to feed the goats yourself, please let me know and we will accommodate you! Other things to note Our little farm in the woods has its own sweet charm. It is beautiful and is a great getaway for peace, relaxation, and visiting some of our quaint mountain towns nearby such as Ellijay, Talking Rock, and Jasper. Your dogs or cats are welcome in the house or in the front yard fenced area, but please, PLEASE do not allow them in the back fenced-in area with the goats (this includes the fishing pond). Even if your four legged friend is your soul mate, they are a natural predator to goats and our goats will panic and run, increasing their heart rate, which seems like a game to pets but it never ends well for the goats :/ Please note that our house is NOT childproof and is better for adults and older children, so please watch children CLOSELY if you are bringing them. We do NOT have a safe enclosure to keep kids out of the pond or away from the goats. Our goats are very sweet usually, but animals are unpredictable, so adults should ALWAYS be present when children are interacting with the goats. Please also be aware that as a farm in the woods with a pond and animals, there is always some element of risk. We are in the woods which is picturesque and peaceful, but wild critters live around us too, so you never know what you are going to see (and they won't be as tame as our goats.) We have only had a few snakes and a snapping turtle or two in years past, but PLEASE coach your children to NOT pick them up. The turtles are NOT friendly and they can move faster than you think-- and jump. You probably will never see them, but if you do, please give them their space. They are just there for the fish.
