Our charming one-bedroom, one-bath cottage offers the perfect retreat on a beautiful private lake. Enjoy a spacious living room with a vaulted ceiling,warm wood floors, and a cozy electric fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. We offer complimentary coffee, tea, creamer and condiments. Sleep comfortably in a king-size bed or choose from a daybed and single futon inside. An attached screened-in porch adds to your relaxation options featuring another futon that overlooks nature's calm sights and sounds. Set on 3.5 secluded acres enjoy ultimate privacy with hosts residing at a distance of 50 yards away. Our property also extends into another 40 wooded acres. The lake is private with only one other house across the lake which my family owns. Swim in the tranquil waters or paddle around with the two kayaks provided. Bask in leisure in a hammock under the trees, a relaxing swing, or savor evenings by the grill-top fire pit. Guest access Lake, yard surrounding cottage Other things to note Please be aware of the following things. The hosts live on the same property, but 50 yards from the rental cottage. We respect our guests and give them complete privacy. Unless you wish to meet us, then we are happy to say hello! There are 3 steps to enter the cottage and two small steps between the kitchen ,living room and bedroom. Also the beach area of the lake is down a short hill, If you have mobility issues you might want to reconsider booking. We live a half a mile down a well maintained dirt road, however sometimes it may be slightly bumpy depending on rainfall. Please be aware that our lake is a beautiful, private, spring fed body of water. It has a nice sandy bottom with great water clarity. However, in the summer months of July, August and early September due to excessive heat the water may appear a bit mucky and be too warm to swim in depending on rainfall and temperature. This is common with all lakes in Florida. Also please note, this is Florida, all lakes have alligators. I can not guarantee there won't be one in ours. However, when we have seen them they have been small and pose no threat to people. Alligators usually avoid people whenever possible. We have been swimming in this lake for 25 years with no issues.
